Used on the backhand side of the Quartet AFC Chinese style racket. It has a great feel, good bounce, good spin, and most importantly, makes the Chiquita shot easy. Being able to hit a Chiquita that completely overrides the opponent's short serves has eliminated my anxiety about receiving.
I also felt it was an excellent match for the Quartet AFC.
I feel that the Zaia works well with thin carbon rackets. Because the rubber itself has a thick sponge and is bouncy, combining it with a thin racket that reduces bounce makes it the perfect partner! And it has a long lifespan!
For players who are serious about achieving results, I highly recommend the Zaia 03!

- You can hold the ball with less force than D05 and still get lift!
- The arc and spin amount are insane, like a tacky rubber!
- This rubber is clearly built more for driving than for meeting the ball flat!
Coming from D05, there's no real difficulty switching over.
The published hardness is 44°, so I expected it to feel hard, but when I actually measured it with a hardness gauge, I was stunned.
It's more than 5° softer than D!
That's why you can hold the ball even with a slower swing speed than D — that's what I realized!
Used normally, I didn't feel much difference, and if anything, since it holds the ball, it wasn't hard to use at all!
I confirmed with curtain drills that it puts a crazy amount of spin on the ball.
I was surprised at how much more spin, and how easily it goes on, compared to D05 and D09C!
That said, flat hitting is quite difficult, and it flies long even from mid-distance.
You get a kind of bounce that feels like it's been artificially boosted afterward.
Honestly, a hard-hit speed drive is uncontrollable, lol (sweat)!
I think it's the No. 1 rubber for ease of putting on spin since they switched to the antibacterial plastic.

I use a Japanese-style penhold single-ply 10mm blade. I'm an intermediate player. I used 09C for a long time. I wanted to try 2.5mm at least once - to cut to the conclusion, your stroke gets restricted, but if you find the right way to hit it, you get an incredible ball.
With 09C, loop drives, speed drives, and flat hits would each give "a decent ball" or "a ball matching my touch" depending on how I made contact, but with Zaia I feel like you always need to brush the ball to bring out its characteristics. Smashes go in, but they don't feel like they're hitting the sweet spot; I used to just hit counters flat, but now I can't get them stable unless I do a drive-counter that lets the ball bite into the rubber the way advanced players do.
The sweet spot has gotten narrower, but if you hit it, you get the most powerful ball imaginable.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Rin (Experience: ４〜５ years) A rubber you can't use if you're timid

If you get scared, you can't use this rubber - you'll be plagued by net misses and huge overshoots.
On the flip side, if you can swing through without fear, the ball will go in no matter how you hit it - even if your technique isn't quite there, as long as you've got your basic strokes down, it'll land. Chop blocks were also no problem.
People who prefer stability might not be suited to this; it's best handled by someone who can swing all the way through no matter their mental state.
If you're about to try this, just swing all the way through without fear from the start - that's actually more stable. Think of Kio Matsushima's backhand.
As long as you swing through it goes in, so the only thing to think about is placement! How quickly you recover after the follow-through becomes the single most important skill for using this rubber!
If you're used to swinging fully through with fast German rubbers or tacky rubbers, I think you'll adjust quickly, but if you've been a longtime user of Butterfly products like Tenergy or Dignics, I think it'll take quite a while to get used to.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I put this on my Innerforce ZLF, so my impressions might differ from other reviews.
In my playing days I used Dignics 05 and Dignics 09c.
For the last two years I've had Hurricane on both sides just for fun.
I've only used this four times so far.Coming from Hurricane, it felt quite soft.
So in topspin rallies I could get good shots through without even using my hips.
So I drive the ball with my hips and put all my focus into control with my arm, but my opponents still look surprised, so I think the ball must be flying pretty fast.
If I grip tightly, the ball clears the table before it can dip, so I keep my grip loose (prioritizing holding the ball) and try to absorb the impact.
When driving against backspin, hitting with strong impact sometimes made the ball drop in a slippery way, so I stopped doing that.
If I sink the ball into the sponge, it flies way off on loop drives, so imagining hitting with just the topsheet made things stable.
Over the table, on the first day, sinking the ball all the way into the sponge sent it flying out - I thought receiving would be impossible - but once I switched to imagining hitting with just the sheet, it flew just like Hurricane, which surprised me.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Switched over from Dignics 05.
The ball leaves the rubber quickly, but maybe because it matches well with my blade, I can still feel the ball staying with the racket when I hit it.
That said, if your timing is even slightly off, you either overshoot or mishit and the ball doesn't fly, so it seems to be a matter of practice.
The arc comes out high and deep, so I can rack up points with counters one after another. It also lands even when hitting from below table level, so you can swing through with confidence.
I started strength training at the same time as switching to Zaia, and swinging got a lot easier, so I'd recommend that too. If you've got power, definitely give this a try.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I bought this aiming to reach a higher level, but to cut to the conclusion, I couldn't master it and gave up.
The speed and spin are head and shoulders above everything else, and topspin rallies feel almost unbeatable.
But with a tension-rubber style swing like mine, I kept getting mystery misses when driving against backspin, and I felt like you need to use a Chinese-rubber style stroke.
On top of that, serving short and doing stops were both difficult, so in the end I couldn't handle it.I think pretty much everyone is impressed the first time they use this rubber, but the more you use it, the more you'll probably split into two extremes: either it stays amazing, or it's too hard and you just can't use it.
If you really want to use it, depending on the person you may need to spend several months updating yourself for the rubber. In my case, updating myself right before a big tournament felt too risky, so I went back to my old rubber - but given its track record, there's no doubt this is one of the strongest rubbers out there, so I really encourage you to give it a try.
