It's not like it's slow — if you hit the sweet spot properly, it does put out decent speed.

I'm currently using it on my backhand with Hurricane on my forehand, but even used on the forehand the spin doesn't fall short at all. The speed is good too.

I'd never bought an Avalox blade other than the pure wood ones before, so this was my first. It's so thin that at first I couldn't even tell it had carbon in it, but once you move to mid-distance play, it responds well to hard shots and gives you good distance — it turned out to be a really nice blade.
