This rubber has been on the market for over 10 years. It's a legendary product that originally launched as a tension inverted rubber but ended up surviving only in its short pips version.
It also became famous for being used by players like Mima Ito and Misaki Morizono!
The main characteristic is its great balance. It puts a nice amount of spin on the ball, and produces a good amount of knuckle balls too - that's its appeal.
With short pips, it has to produce knuckle balls or it's nothing. When you hit it lightly or block with it, you get heavy knuckle balls.
However, for pushes, a thin contact makes it grip and take spin, while a thicker contact produces knuckle balls.

It's not an exaggeration to call this a god-tier blade. It keeps a bounce similar to Butterfly's Korbel while giving you even more flex! The biggest feature is that it's a pure wood blade, yet it has a wide sweet spot.
This blade doesn't care what rubber you use.
Put on whichever rubber you like and it'll bring out its full performance.
It also has a special adhesive soaked into the plies, which keeps the blade's bounce from dropping due to humidity.
If I had to name one drawback, it'd be the grip thickness! There's a large-grip version too, but some people will find the standard one too thin to handle comfortably.

I figured a rubber priced under 3500 yen had to be for beginners, but this one is different.
If I had to place it in Butterfly's lineup, it's about on the level of Rozena. But the topsheet is basically the same as the Hexer, so I had high hopes!
Let's try it out first.
My impression is that control and handling are both good! Serves and pushes cut really well! The most important thing for me, the drive, gives about the same amount of spin as Vega. That said, the speed is held back a bit.
The sponge only comes in 1.6mm, listed as medium thickness, so you can't choose anything thicker, but it seems like it would work well on a shakehand backhand or the reverse side of a Chinese penhold. It's a rubber where you can really feel the value for money.
It's satisfying enough for beginners through intermediate players.
I wish other manufacturers would do the same thing — cutting down the thickness options to keep the price low and focus on a specific target.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I've used quite a few rubbers in the Spectrum series, but how do I even describe this one!
For reference, I test-hit it mounted on my shakehand backhand.
The pips are lined up in vertical rows in a speed-oriented layout, and the topsheet is softer than the usual Spectrum!
Also, the blue sponge has a fair amount of elasticity.First, when you hit normally, ball-holding is really good, and you don't get the knuckle balls that are typical of Spectrum!
When you block with Spectrum, you usually get that distinctive dead, sinking trajectory, but this rubber doesn't have that.
I think the cause of that is the sponge!Like Tenergy's sponge, the sponge catches the ball and adds spin for you, which makes it harder to produce that knuckle-ball quality!

This is a plastic-ball-compatible short pips rubber.
Since it's described as an energy-concentrated type, it's in the same category as Hammond FA.
In short, it's like a spin-oriented version of Hammond!
The sheet has vertical grooves, the pips are low, and they're right at the edge of the regulation size!
I put it on the backhand of my Violin,
and my first impression from actually hitting with it was that it felt less like short pips and more like a control-oriented rubber — it has great handling!
Half-volleys had a bit of spin on them and didn't have that nasty short-pips feel, but when I pushed, it turned into a solid knuckle ball, and there were times my opponent's drive caught the net.
Blocks also come out as knuckle balls!
Pushes don't bite when played deep, but if you play more of a stop, they do bite!
It's also easy to chiquita with short pips, and backhand drives grip the ball well too!
That said, it doesn't produce much speed, so it can feel a bit lacking!
