It really is about the grip. Just a tiny bit thinner than the Acoustic. Barely any different. Unrelated, but the racket's easy to spin in your hand. Also it's super round. Counters are easy to pull off. It just feels like the ball lands. Feels less like skill and more like the equipment doing the work. Also the sound off the ball is amazing. Like a "kyuinn" sound. Blocks seriously fly, so you get fast (?) blocks in. It's a racket with basically no downsides, so I seriously recommend it. Any technique works with this. Except chops.

It weighed 84g.
The first time I hit with it, my impression was that it flew quite a bit.
But once I got used to it, it was fine.
My backhand improved after switching to this racket. If you struggle with backhand, this is a racket I really want you to try.

Borrowed this from a friend to try. Yeah, the thin grip really does let you hold it firmly! Might be a good idea to put a rubber with more speed on the backhand.

The basic performance is pretty much the same as the Timo Boll or Zhang Jike, but as everyone says, the grip is what stands out.
Since it's on the thinner side, I felt it was just the right thickness for women or people with smaller hands to use. Personally, I found flicks over the table easier thanks to the grip.

It weighed 82.5g when I bought it.
As you'd expect from the catalog specs, the feel off the ball is almost the same as the Timo Boll ALC and the Viscaria, but the grip shape is completely different.The Viscaria's thick grip lets you hold on firmly for hard shots, while the Matsudaira Kenta ALC's thin grip makes it easy to use your wrist, giving the impression that short-game and backhand shots are easier to swing. The Timo Boll feels like it's somewhere in between.
Also, because the grip is thin, even small hands can hold it firmly, which stabilizes topspin drives. However, when I got tense I felt like I was gripping too hard, so it might be worth consciously relaxing your grip.
Since the weight is concentrated toward the tip of the blade, it's easy to generate power on a single big shot, but it makes the racket feel heavier than it actually is, so I'd recommend going lighter with your rubber choice — for example, using a softer rubber on the backhand!

The grip is thin and lets you use your wrist easily, so chiquitas and flicks were especially easy. I found it easy to use both close to the table and further back. It's lighter than other rackets, so I think it's a good recommendation for players without much power.

The grip is on the thin side with a rounded shape rather than angular — easy to hold and easy to put power into.
