The Nittaku Acoustic was made according to the principles used in making string instruments. The materials used for this blade are thicker and softer than those in the Nittaku Violin. This provides the Acoustic with stable characteristics when attacking and blocking. Made in Japan.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Recognized as the pinnacle of wooden 5-ply rackets, it is highly valued for its unique hitting feel and excellent ball retention. Despite modest speed, it excels in control and offers versatility with various rubbers, making it a well-rounded racket.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Distinctive tacky hitting feel is the greatest appeal
    • Excellent ball retention creates stable parabolic trajectories
    • Wide sweet spot ensures stability even on off-center hits
    • Narrow grip requires personal adjustment for some players
    • Modest speed can be compensated with appropriate rubber
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveUsing violin-making adhesive technology, it expands the sweet area and increases stability with an adhesive hitting feel. Superior performance in both offense and defense makes practice enjoyable.
▽ CriticalThe narrow grip suits limited players. The head-heavy bias feels heavier than actual weight, and the unique grip shape often requires adjustments.

Bamboo Panda (Experience: 6〜10 years) Perfect for spin-focused players!

      Player reviews

This was my main blade from 1st grade through 9th grade, specifically from 5th grade through the first half of 8th grade.
I don't have much power, so I scored a lot off loop drives, and this blade gives you stable spin on loops that becomes a real point-scorer.
You can hit drives both cross-court and down the line.
That said, it doesn't give you as much speed as a composite blade, so I'd recommend it for a period like elementary school when players aren't hitting fast balls much yet, or
for someone with good strength who doesn't want to give up that all-wood feel.
If you use it, I'd recommend putting pips on the backhand and playing close to the table.
That said, I personally used to rip curve drives from mid-to-far from the table. They actually curve in a pretty nasty way, so try mixing loop drives and curve drives in a match...

Yoshikazu (Experience: More than 20 years) Wonderful feel on contact

      Player reviews

It's pretty pricey for an all-wood blade, but the feel is excellent and the balance between speed and control is good too.
It's good as a blade for developing a player.
That said, I don't think intermediate to advanced players would have complaints either, but if you feel it's lacking in speed, switching to a carbon-inner blade might be a good option, even though the feel drops off a bit.

Capybara (Experience: 11〜20 years) Excellent stability

      Player reviews

I felt the speed wasn't quite enough so I'm not using it anymore, but this used to be my main blade.
It has outstanding stability, drives and blocks are easy to hit, and it's easy to control too. The feel is also very good.
The one downside is, again, the speed - once you get to a higher level, with my power I just couldn't hit a shot that would blow straight through the opponent.
Still, it's easy to use with outstanding stability, so it's a blade I can recommend broadly, from beginners all the way up to advanced players.

The feel off the blade is really good, and it's easy to put spin on, so I think it's a really good blade.

      Player reviews

This blade doesn't give you all that much speed, but I think it's excellent for control and spin.
Because the speed is lacking, the throw isn't enough when you're playing mid-distance or away from the table.
A rubber with more throw, like Tenergy, works well with it.
Also, the power on drives is a bit low, but drives and chiquitas are still easy to pull off.

Before team-kun (Experience: 4〜5 years) Great feel and overall balance!

      Player reviews

The first time I used it, it felt like it had more throw than the Timo Boll Spirit, so it seemed a bit tricky to handle, but the more I used it, the more I found it balances everything well - drives of course, but also the backhand, pushes, and other small touches. Counters close to the table, topspin rallies from mid-distance, and even a comeback counter with a bit less speed when you get pushed back are all easy to pull off, so I highly recommend it.
That sticky, sucking-in feeling when you hit a drive is really satisfying!

yuI (Experience: 2〜3 years) Heavier than expected

      Player reviews

      It's lighter than average,
but as a junior high kid, it still felt heavy and swinging it all the way through was tough.
Still, I think it doubles as good strength training.
And on top of that, my blocks got super stable.
If you're on the fence, this is a blade worth buying.
