The Nittaku Acoustic was made according to the principles used in making string instruments. The materials used for this blade are thicker and softer than those in the Nittaku Violin. This provides the Acoustic with stable characteristics when attacking and blocking. Made in Japan.

Let me talk about what I liked about this blade. First, the standout feature is how easy it is to get spin. The feel is on the softer side, almost like the ball sticks to it.

I was bothered by how quickly the ball left the Ma Lin Carbon, so I bought this instead. It's a lot of fun to play with. Having used the Ma Lin before, I find it much easier to get spin on this one. Swing properly and you get a lot of power on the ball. Even if I'm a bit sloppy with the short game, the ball still lands where I want it to. This is a blade I wanted to use until it broke.

I've used all kinds of special-material blades, but this is the first blade I've found with zero quirks no matter what stroke you use. Before, most of my mistakes were long balls or balls straight into the net. I bought this to start over with a pure wood blade, and for the first time I was able to hit backhand topspin drives, with both forehand and backhand strokes now drawing a nice arc.
The reason I bought it: I was drawn to the Acoustic, which is marketed on its stringed-instrument construction giving a wide sweet spot and a stable, clear feel. On top of that, it comes with a large grip option, so even I with big hands could use it.
Also, the sweet spot is really wide — proof of that is how consistent the sound of the ball is every time, and how easy it is to get spin. The grip is also easy to hold, almost like a Viscaria, which raised my satisfaction even more.
The rubbers also perform well across the board, from tacky to spin-tension types, and because the blade is soft with great grip on the ball, I've even been able to properly use rubbers I could never handle with other blades.
Once you use this blade, every other blade genuinely starts to feel one-sided in performance.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

■Weight: 88g (±4g)Stringed Instrument series ... Applies the plywood construction technique used for stringed instruments, letting glue penetrate deep into the wood, giving it a distinctive sense of a solid core.
I'd had a chance to use a 5-ply blade and found it really easy to control, so this time I bought the Acoustic, which gets high marks among 5-ply blades.
Before this I had a carbon blade with a 5.6mm thickness, so the ease of control (with the same rubbers) really impressed me.
The rubbers I'm using are Rozena and Vega Pro, both max thickness.Compared to special-material blades the bounce is toned down, but because the ball sits on it so well, you get excellent control plus easy spin — which fit my control-focused playing style perfectly.
Topspin drives, counter-drives, and the short game in particular are extremely stable with this.
*If you find the Acoustic lacking in speed, I'd recommend a rubber with stronger bounce, or a 7-ply blade instead.

This is basically THE blade when you think '5-ply.' It's incredibly stable overall. So if you put on a spin-oriented rubber, your topspin drives land beautifully. I'd recommend it to all kinds of players — beginners who want to get good at topspin drives, intermediate players who want to overwhelm opponents with spin drives, and advanced players too.

This is a blade Ma Long and Ai Fukuhara used way back! It's apparently popular since top players use it! I felt the feel is a bit on the hard side (slightly)! You can get plenty of spin on it! Speed feels a notch lower than the Ma Long 5. The plate on the grip end is gold, which looks cool! It's a bit pricey for a 5-ply blade, but it's still better value than the Hurricane-series blades. This one's for people who want to become advanced players!
