The new VO > 101 is a very fast and dangerous short pips-out rubber with built-in High Energy Tension Technology. The long experience of our Japanese pips-out exper ts and the know-how of our German researchers (GJ Tec) resulted in a high-tech rubber which leaves nothing to be desired for aggressive pips-out attackers. The new rubber sheet with optimized pips geometry produces a great pips-out effect, and the flat trajectory of the ball will put your opponent under pressure. The elastic sponge combined with our High Energy Tension Technology opens up new dimensions of speed development in the pips-out segment.

This suits people who want to block and smash on the backhand. The ball quality is very similar to Attack 8, and it's easy to produce knuckle balls too.

This is a knuckle-type short pips rubber, and it's one of the ones where smashes go in really easily — I'd also say chops go in easily with it. I have it on my backhand, and it suits attacking, pushing, and blocking up close to the table, and chopping when I back away.

This was about three years ago, but I had it on my backhand. Blocking and countering were both really easy, and smashes came out with a lot of speed and power. It barely spins at all though.

This pairs well with Japanese penhold. It's hard to generate spin with, but in exchange you can take the fight to your opponent with speed and power. For serves, you can hit fast straight serves.

Smashes go in a straight line and come out really fast. Blocking is easy too — actually, blocks naturally turn into something like a counter. That said, don't expect much spin from it.

Let's go (Experience: 6〜10 years) Thought it'd be mainly knuckle balls, but…

If you're switching over from inverted rubber or a spin-oriented short pips rubber, forehand hitting might take some getting used to, since, as other reviews mention, you'll often get knuckle balls. The surface is very soft and gives a sense of the ball being wrapped up. What surprised me most, though, is that serves really bite! It's a short pips rubber that can bait your opponent into netting or overhitting. Try mixing it in with knuckle serves.

I use this for chopping on the backhand. It cuts really well, it's easy to produce knuckleballs and variation, and if I need to, I can attack with it too — and it's fast. Great for quick counter-attacks.
