Most players are looking for that rubber that fits them just right. Nittaku has introduced the Fastarc series with a variety to choose from. The Fastarc G-1 has the most power of the series. It's a very direct and to the point rubber. All offensive strokes from fast drives at the table to long distance counterlooping are executed with high precision. The hardest and fastest of all the Fastarcs.

○Forehand: Personally I like to close the racket face and swing forward, but with that swing the ball drops short with this rubber. It's not a power-focused rubber, but as long as your swing matches it, the consistency was outstanding.
○Backhand: I also like to close the face on the backhand, but just like on the forehand, closing the face and swinging causes the ball to drop short.
○Loop drive: By feel, it didn't seem like it was gripping the ball that much, but my opponents kept overshooting. That said, if you don't hit it with the right amount of contact, the ball clips off.
○Driving against backspin: Rather than opening the racket face and relying on spin, it's hard unless you combine spin with a solid impact on the ball.
○Block: This is genuinely easy to do. ○Receive: For chiquita, it's hard to produce the kind of aggressive, point-winning chiquita where you close the face over the ball. Pushes can be cut at sharp angles. Flicks aren't difficult either. Stops aren't difficult either.
○Topspin rallies: It doesn't affect the opponent much, but you don't make many mistakes yourself.If you try to hit using only the sheet, you get the clipping effect that's typical of G-1.
The good part is that the ball goes in without much effort, so even if you tense up a bit during a match, the ball tends to stay on the table, and since the spin isn't uniform, I think it produces shots that are hard for opponents to read. It's a rubber suited for matches. I'd recommend it for people who enjoy topspin rallies.

Fastarc G-1 is called a classic for good reason — the sense of speed and grip on the ball are genuinely excellent.
That said, I've mainly used Butterfly-style tension rubbers like Tenergy and Dignics up until now.
With Butterfly-style tension rubbers, I feel like the arc comes naturally, but with G-1, if you hit without thinking about it, the trajectory comes out flat.
If you make an effort to create that arc yourself, you can get a nice high trajectory.
Also, when you really smack the ball, the power is fantastic.Be aware that German-style rubbers like G-1 and Japanese-style rubbers like Tenergy need completely different hitting techniques.

The first thing I noticed was how easy it is to handle. Both drives and pushes are stable. I'd recommend it for people trying a tension rubber for the first time too. Also, against backspin, loop drives get so much spin that you can score points with the loop alone. You won't get speed unless you increase your own swing speed, so I think it's good to pair it with a fast blade. Beginners through upper-intermediate players should definitely give it a try.

Before G-1, I was using Fly At Spin! Wanting a bit more spin and speed, I bought G-1 and gave it a try! The sponge is a bit on the hard side, and control was tricky at first. Once I got used to it, I could place the ball where I aimed, and it became easy to use! Speed also went up quite a bit compared to Fly At Spin. It was just right for smashes and lobs! Spin was also great on serves — the ball curved a lot. Loop drives and curve drives had fewer mishits too, which was great! I also made fewer mistakes on over-the-table shots. It's a bit pricey and doesn't last very long, but I think it's an easy rubber for beginners to use.

The grip on the ball is insane, so even with a slightly weak touch you can still hit a shot with plenty of spin. The sheet is also firm, which makes over-the-table play easy too. Truly all-round.

I use Fastarc G-1 max thickness only on the forehand of my Japanese penhold racket. The sheet is firm, and I'd rate the spin as excellent, speed as good, and control as fairly good. G-1 is geared toward spin-heavy drives, but I felt the speed was a bit lacking, so rallies tend to go on longer. So if you pair it with a fast blade, you can also hit speed drives and end rallies sooner (this applies to shakehand players too). For Japanese penhold, drives matter, but over-the-table skills and spin techniques are your real weapons — and G-1 can handle pretty much everything reasonably well, so it's stable. That said, it often loses out to the opponent's spin, so while blocking is fine, countering takes practice.
