TENERGY 64 is the fastest attacking rubber of the TENERGY family; the No. 64 being the development code of the pimples used in producing this reversed rubber.

BUTTERFLY High Tension technology has enabled a fast dynamic rubber to be produced by utilizing the innovative SPRING SPONGE. SPRING SPONGE enables a player to "grip" the ball and "catapult" the return back at high speed and with heavy spin.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Tenergy 64 is highly praised for its exceptional speed performance, soft sheet, and straight trajectory. It excels in hitting techniques, blocking, and close-range play, earning top-tier ratings from many users. However, its high price and short durability are notable drawbacks, and it is considered difficult for beginners to master.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Top-class speed with direct, low-arc trajectory
    • Soft sheet is easy to handle with excellent control
    • Stable for hitting and blocking techniques
    • High price with relatively short lifespan
    • Spin performance is sufficient but inferior to Tenergy 05/80
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveThe pinnacle of speed-type Tenergy. With its soft texture and easy control, it resists opponent's spin, making blocking and receiving smooth. Outstanding balance between offense and defense with truly excellent performance.
▽ CriticalDespite excellent speed, the high bounce makes it difficult to control, particularly for receiving and blocking which feel very challenging. Requires skilled technique to master effectively.

Compared to the 05, it feels a bit softer. And at medium impact strength, it's clearly faster than the 05 and gets more spin too.

The short game isn't as hard to handle as I expected, and I think that's where you can really see how good this rubber is. The chiquita also gets good spin and speed.

With topspin drives, you can hit a fast, powerful ball — no complaints at all.
      The performance matches the price.

Even though it's speed-focused, the sheet is good, so it gives you spin and speed that's every bit as good as other rubbers — it makes for really satisfying table tennis.

Naka (Experience: 2〜3 years) Grabs the ball very quickly

When I did topspin rallies against someone using this rubber, the Tenergy 64 was so much faster than other rubbers that I couldn't return it. Also, since it generates so much speed, I think speed-oriented shots suit it better than loop drives.

Blue seven (Experience: Less than a year) Amazing!!

I switched from Vega Asia to the 64.
As for speed, I feel like it's a bit faster than Vega Asia.
As for spin, the 64 is way ahead.
Even on normal forehand hits, you get good distance and speed.
The biggest difference I felt was how well it grips the ball on a power drive.
You can really drill it into the opponent's court. Vega Asia never had that feeling.

That said, compared to the 05 FX, the amount of spin is a bit lower.
Still, it's supposedly less affected by the opponent's spin (compared to the 05 FX), so use it with that trade-off in mind.

It's a very high-performance rubber, but it's expensive, and unless you can play a bit further from the table in rallies,
I can't recommend it to beginners.
If you switch straight from a non-tension rubber to Tenergy, the feel is completely different, so I think it's better to go through something like Vega or Rozena in between,
and then switch to this rubber once you can hit hard and want even more speed and spin.

World ranking Rank 434 (Experience: 11〜20 years) Loved worldwide! A speed rubber that can do it all

      Reviews by user

I called it a speed rubber, but it actually gets plenty of spin too, and the control is outstanding. It's honestly not that different from Tenergy 05? (lol) It's such a high-performance rubber that I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. I'm a chopper, but it seems like it could work for drive players and a wide range of playing styles too.

Makishi (Experience: 4〜5 years) The speed is seriously insane!

      Reviews by user

I borrowed a friend's Tenergy 64 and hit with it.
What I noticed using this rubber is that the speed is just insane.
      It's probably easiest to picture if you think of Koki Niwa's high-speed counters. {maybe...}
      The spin isn't as strong as the 05, but it's still decent. Since the speed is top-level, if someone who can generate spin uses this, they turn into an absolute monster. {lol}
During rallies the speed was already so high that I sometimes couldn't keep up.
I think combining Tenergy 05 and 64 works really well.

Xi (Experience: More than 20 years) It's wonderful, as expected

      Reviews by user

I use this on my forehand. After trying it again after a while, the balance is fantastic ^ ^ It's easy to get spin on topspin drives, and easy to receive serves with too. It might depend on the blade combination, but the drive digs into the opponent's side of the table and then shoots forward. Lately it seems like a lot of people are using Tenergy 80, but if you want to be able to switch easily between a sharp trajectory and a high arcing trajectory, the 64 is easier to handle.
