    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly praised as an entry-level rubber for beginners and intermediate players, offering excellent control and spin at a low price point. The back-face application receives notably higher evaluations than front-face usage.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Superior control and stability make it ideal for novice players
    • Excellent spin generation suitable for serves and loop drives
    • Lightweight and easy to handle, perfect for tension rubber introduction
    • Speed output is insufficient; pairing with hard rackets recommended
    • Back-face application is more recommended than front-face
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveAfter switching from Mark V, spin generation became easier and drive shots stabilized significantly. The soft impact makes it excellent for beginners.
▽ CriticalSpeed performance is clearly inadequate, and the ball won't fly properly unless paired with a bouncy racket. Not recommended for front-face applications.

      Reviews by user

Perfect for the backhand. Very controllable on pushes and blocks. Medium-high arc on topspin drives. You can generate speed through proper body mechanics without wasting excess energy. Backhand smashes are great too. Overall, it's a rubber that suits an all-round playing style perfectly.

      Reviews by user

Just like GTT, this is a rubber that's been loved by junior high first-years for a long time.
Rigan is easy to use for players of any generation and has the potential to be inducted into some kind of hall of fame given how popular it is across such a wide range of players.
If you haven't tried it yet, why not give it a shot?
If you find this Rigan a little lacking, I'd recommend trying Rigan Spin instead.
The performance is already good enough to be certified a long-selling classic, and on top of that it has great consistency, which is wonderful.
It has no quirks, so you can use it over and over without getting tired of it. I thought it was a perfect rubber! (from a beginner/intermediate player's perspective)

People who like TSP (Experience: Less than a year) Even beginners can use it without difficulty.

      Reviews by user

I was originally using Ventus Basic and put this on my backhand.
When I tried a hard rubber before, it just felt a bit off, so this Rigan, with a topsheet as soft as a high-tension rubber, was really easy to handle. Serving with it was easy, and topspin drives weren't difficult at all (pushes too, of course). If your first rubber has worn out and you're not sure what to get next, definitely give this a try. I think even someone (really) bad like me can make good use of it.

It's not an exaggeration to say there's no rubber easier to use than this. Perfect for beginners and
      for the backhand.

      Reviews by user

I used this on my backhand side
      <Good points>
Easy to do backhand topspin drives
      Easy to do chiquita
      Stops actually stop
      <Bad points>
Sometimes it drops short and hits the net
      No speed

Personally I found it very easy to use
I'd recommend it for the backhand side

Wonta (Experience: 6〜10 years) Easy to use

      Reviews by user

I didn't expect much when I bought it, but it's really easy to use and has become one of my favorites.
Compared to G1 it falls short on spin, speed, and grip on the ball, but it makes up for that with control that's good enough to more than compensate.
That said, it might feel a bit lacking if you're trading blows from mid-distance.
I was torn between this and Vega Europe — it's not a perfectly fair comparison since the blades were different, but I felt Vega Europe was a bit lacking on spin and speed even close to the table, so with Rigan I have no complaints close to the table, and I'm glad I went with this one.
