I didn't expect much when I bought it, but it's really easy to use and has become one of my favorites.
Compared to G1 it falls short on spin, speed, and grip on the ball, but it makes up for that with control that's good enough to more than compensate.
That said, it might feel a bit lacking if you're trading blows from mid-distance.
I was torn between this and Vega Europe — it's not a perfectly fair comparison since the blades were different, but I felt Vega Europe was a bit lacking on spin and speed even close to the table, so with Rigan I have no complaints close to the table, and I'm glad I went with this one.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I'm using this on the forehand side of a 7-ply wood blade to rework my whole game.
It's not fast, but both my topspin drives and blocks are stable.
The consistency during matches especially stands out, and I've been winning more.
That said, the short game and pushes tend to run long, so you need to be really careful (part of that is just my lack of skill though...).
In my case, my serves have gotten shorter and with more spin. On the other hand, my knuckle-ball long serves keep getting smashed because they're not fast enough……
An intermediate player I know said "what is this rubber... no way...", but for where I'm at right now it feels just right.
The value for money is good too, so I think it's worth trying at least once.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft

The topsheet is probably exactly the same as GTT — the ball grips well and spins nicely.
The sponge is different though, so the shot feel changes: GTT flies in a flatter, more direct line, while Rigan produces a bigger arc. The feel is soft too, and it's great and stable for just "getting the ball back on the table," but it doesn't feel suited to hitting through with quick, snappy shots.Personally I prefer GTT since it's cheaper and the ball flies straighter.

I tried this on the forehand side as a chopper. It's surprisingly well-balanced, and my chops don't float up. The sponge is soft with a good amount of grip on the ball, so it's easy to control. My chops have decent speed and I feel like I can place them deep on the table. I can also attack even when I'm away from the table, so it seems like a good rubber for choppers who mix offense and defense. That said, the spin is a bit lacking, so I'm hoping the newly released "Rigan Spin" will make up for that.

If you swing through properly, any ball goes in!
It's a magic rubber that lets you attack aggressively without mistakes lolFor beginners to lower-intermediate players who want to build fundamentals while still winning, this is a rubber I'd recommend.
That said, the ball does tend to get light, unfortunately.

As advertised for beginner-to-intermediate players, it seems to suit 3-5 ply wood blades. It's a hybrid energy-type rubber, but the sheet is soft so the grip is on the weak side, and with a heavy blade the spin feels hard to generate. On the flip side, you can feel good control on light shots. I'm hoping Rigan Spin will bring an improvement in grip.
[Serve]
I don't get much of a brushing feeling on backspin serves. It's easy to put on topspin-style wraparound spin, and fake motions are easy to pull off.
[Push]
It's hard to cut the ball, so shots tend to run long.
[Stop]
It doesn't pick up much spin, so it's easy to stop the ball. But since it's soft, double stops tend to pop up. I feel like a knuckle flick suits the stop better.
[Topspin drive]
Easy to grip the ball, so control is high. Unlike a tension rubber, it doesn't grip just by grazing the ball. Even in fast rallies or on counters, you won't get an arc unless you really let the ball sink in. Punching through with one shot is tough.
[Block]
If you meet the ball head-on, it's hard to keep the shot low and short. The sponge is also a bit on the soft side, so it's tough to win points off the power of your blocks. I think you'll score more by shifting your axis and pushing a ball coming crosscourt straight down the line instead.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Soft
