    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly praised as an entry-level rubber for beginners and intermediate players, offering excellent control and spin at a low price point. The back-face application receives notably higher evaluations than front-face usage.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Superior control and stability make it ideal for novice players
    • Excellent spin generation suitable for serves and loop drives
    • Lightweight and easy to handle, perfect for tension rubber introduction
    • Speed output is insufficient; pairing with hard rackets recommended
    • Back-face application is more recommended than front-face
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveAfter switching from Mark V, spin generation became easier and drive shots stabilized significantly. The soft impact makes it excellent for beginners.
▽ CriticalSpeed performance is clearly inadequate, and the ball won't fly properly unless paired with a bouncy racket. Not recommended for front-face applications.

      Reviews by user

Switching over from Mark V, the first thing I noticed is that it's easy to get spin on the ball. And even though I used to struggle to land my topspin drives, I can land them almost every time now. Smashes are about the same as with Mark V. On the backhand it doesn't go in as much — it takes some power.
Overall the feel on contact is soft. I think it's good for beginners.

When people think of Yasaka they think of Mark V, Rakza, and Extend, but personally, if you're starting out with Yasaka, I'd recommend this Rigan along with Extend. Extend bounces quite a bit, so it's good for high schoolers or kids with good athletic ability who are just starting out. Rigan is an easy-to-understand rubber — it flies if you swing through it properly, and it stays put if you just tap the ball — so girls can swing it without any problem, and for girls who like to play aggressively, I think it can add consistency on top of a wide range of techniques.

Starting out with this rubber might be a good idea. I get the light-tension feel it has.
Good price, good grip on the ball from the topsheet, good spin.
The speed can't be helped, but it has very few quirks.
I'd recommend it as a second rubber for junior high students and up.

Dobuzo That was a good purchase

I think this is a rubber for beginner to intermediate players.
I bought it because I wanted to try a "hybrid energy" type rubber.
The control is good and it generates spin too.
The speed is plenty for me!
With hybrid energy rubbers, the power changes a lot depending on how hard you hit the ball.
Because of that, the short game is easy to play too,
and above all, I can really feel my own skills improving!!
I'd really recommend this rubber to beginner/intermediate players who want to get stronger.
      Please give it a try

In today's table tennis where tension rubbers are the norm, starting out with this rubber might actually be a good idea.

      It's very easy to control.
It also generates a decent amount of spin.
As for speed, I think that could be solved by putting it on an outer-carbon blade or a 7-ply wood blade.

Rigan is very soft, the ball sinks right into it, it generates good spin, and you can also hit flat shots with it — I think it's a truly versatile rubber. I think it's perfect as a step-up rubber for anyone from beginner to intermediate level.
