I used the 2.1mm on the forehand of a chop blade. This rubber's strengths are the high amount of spin on loops, and how sharp and consistent the trajectory is on chops and pushes. I paired it with a low-bounce chop blade, and the ball landed deeper than with other tension-type inverted rubbers I've tried. The sponge is a cool purple color, but it does have a somewhat distinctive smell.

I'd been using the Vega Asia 1.8mm on my backhand until now. This time I put the Q4 1.7mm on my backhand.
I tried it after seeing a review video online saying "even people who gave up on the Q3 should try the Q4," so I gave it a shot.
Starting the test hit, the bounce felt normal — I didn't get the impression it flies especially far. The feel is on the firm side and the topsheet grips the ball well, which is right up my alley.
Comparing the Q4 and the Vega, I didn't notice much difference in speed, but the Q4 was clearly ahead in spin.
Drives, chiquita, and of course serves all come out with stable spin. I mainly serve from the backhand, and I've started getting service aces with backspin serves.
Blocks stick really well, which left a good impression — it felt easier to use than the Q3. The ball would land right at the far end of the table.
I also switched it to my forehand to try it out, and compared to the Vega Tour on the forehand, the Vega has a flatter trajectory and more speed, but I felt the Q4 was ahead in spin and stability.
Overall it felt like a rubber that lets you push the pace when you want to and reins things in when you don't.
I think it works well on both forehand and backhand. The downside is the price — the Vega has better value for money, so it's a tough call between the Q4 and the Vega.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I'd had the Q3 on my backhand for 8 months, but switched to the Q4.
Just like the reviews said, it spins more than the Q3 but loses some speed. The trajectory is higher, so drives are very consistent.
At first, loop drives against backspin kept going long over and over, but once I got the feel of swinging forward and hitting lightly, it finally started landing on the table. Unlike the Q3, it grips the ball well and spins even on soft hits, which is nice.
Short-game techniques like chiquita, stop, and push felt about the same as the Q3. I can't tell the difference there.It's strong in topspin rallies, so backhand-to-backhand exchanges off a chiquita or loop are easy.
The one downside so far is that blocking is a bit tricky. Unlike the Q3, it has that grippy feel, so it can bounce too much and go long.

Hmm, I wish it had a bit more speed. The spin feels about the same as the V15 Extra, though I felt the V15 Extra had a slight edge in spin. It's easy to control though, so I felt it wins over the V15 Extra in that department.

I used the thick version. First off, I think it's very easy to use. Hitting against topspin, the ball comes off with plenty of spin. Loop drives against backspin can also draw errors out of your opponent. Speed drives are easy to handle too. I'm more of a Q4 guy than a Q3 guy, since I prioritize spin. I think it suits players who value spin.

I put the Q4 thick on my Innerforce Layer ZLC. The first thing that surprised me was the amount of spin. Every drive technique works well with it — loops, speed drives, curve drives, shoot drives, all of it. With a flexible blade, your loop spin gets nasty. Opponents seem to struggle countering the loop, so they end up returning everything with a short block, which lets you keep piling on the pressure. And backspin balls barely bounce at all — I was shocked the first time I pushed with it. The ball flies incredibly flat, and it comes off with tons of spin because of that. Same story with chops: even a full swing won't send it long, it dives in deep. But when you attack with a drive from mid-to-far distance, the arc is high enough that it lands safely. Blocking might be a bit tricky though. It suits all kinds of players — close-to-the-table drive-dominant types, mid-to-far all-rounders, choppers, you name it. It's hard, so on the backhand it's rough unless you can really commit to a full swing. I'd recommend it for the forehand. Give it a try at least once.

I bought it for my forehand... but at first it felt hard to use — it's not easy to lift backspin (the topsheet is thin), and given that, the power isn't all that high and the arc is low. But when I flipped it to the backhand, the block consistency and speed were excellent, and backhand drives that used to come out weak started landing low and deep. On the backhand, both close-to-the-table meet shots and mid-distance drives produced high-quality balls, so it was really good. I didn't feel like it dropped off much against backspin, and pushes and stops stick like crazy — not quite as much as a tacky rubber, but close. Since it's part of the 05 line, a lot of people probably consider it for the forehand, but it's clearly better on the backhand. For the forehand, the G1 is the better choice.
