After 40 years of playing table tennis, I still can't fully put this rubber's character into words. It's a spin-oriented rubber, but its trajectory is clearly that of a short pips rubber, and the ball speed has a very distinctive quality.
A player using this rubber combines the general nastiness of short pips with the extra depth from spin and the extra skid after the ball lands, which makes it very hard for the receiver to handle.
When I practice, I use the thick version of AX on my backhand, and I spend 20 minutes rallying against a practice partner using Tenergy 05 max thickness on their backhand, going from backhand shorts all the way up to backhand smashes, and it stays an even 50-50 match. It's practice for reading fine changes, not a speed contest. This is an excellent rubber for improving your game.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This is basically the flagship of tension-type short pips rubbers. Among tension rubbers like Impartial, VO102, and Booster SA, this one seems to be the most widely used.
Compared to Impartial it feels a bit more like a typical pips rubber, but it's still spin-oriented, so it should work well even for players switching over from inverted rubber on both sides. I think both men and women can use it well.

I played with the Japanese-style Segna.
Being a horizontal-grain rubber, it grips the ball completely differently from the vertical-grain Moristo SP and gets a lot of spin.
Overall the feel was somewhere between Booster SA and Impartial XS. It also felt like it held the ball a bit better than Rakza PO.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

First, as everyone else's reviews mention, this generates a lot of spin. It's also quite susceptible to the opponent's spin. The topsheet is a bit on the firm side, but the ball leaves it slowly, so drives felt almost like inverted rubber. This is truly a high-performance, spin-oriented short pips rubber. I think it suits penhold pips players who actively use both drives and smashes on their single pips side, or players who choose a thinner sheet paired with a hard blade that keeps the bounce in check, playing close to the table to push their opponent around (shakehand backhand-pips players who work the ball around with backhand blocks fit this too).
As advanced as this pips rubber is, though, the ball quality still ends up being easy for opponents to handle. Knuckle balls are hard to produce unless you consciously go for them - sometimes you just can't get them at all. Because the spin performance is so outstanding, the speed isn't all that high in comparison (it grips the ball well so you do get distance, but if you don't meet the ball cleanly, you get a high arcing trajectory that just floats up).
Overall it's easy to use, so in one sense it's good for beginners, but on the other hand, if you can master its high performance, it's also good for advanced players. I honestly can't judge which it suits at my level. Personally, I like the Moristo SP.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

This is the first horizontal-grain pips rubber I've used, and I really like it. What I like most is how easy it is to drive with, and even on the backhand I can still produce serves with sharp spin.

It's basically like inverted rubber.
It's horizontal-grain, so it generates normal spin. Because of that, knuckle balls are harder to produce than with other short pips, but blocks don't die on you.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft
