The Timo Boll ALC is the blade of choice for the European Triple Champion, Timo Boll. Timo working with Butterfly’s technicians, helped design his new blade which offers a touch more speed than his previous model but still allows for the production of the heavy topspin strokes Timo is known for.
Using his new blade along with Butterfly’s new Tenergy rubbers, Timo successfully defended all three of his Titles at the 2008 European Championships. Timo plays fair and wins and so can you. The Timo Boll ALC offers the maximum blend of speed, heavy spin, and Control.

Flat hitting is easy to do.
Repeated drives and blocks also felt like they popped off the blade nicely and were easy to do.
That said, this probably depends on the weight of your blade, but since it's light,
the ball doesn't carry much weight on it, so I think a rubber that generates a lot of power easily, like Tenergy, or a heavier rubber, would be better.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

At first I heard all kinds of rumors, like that it has too much bounce so it won't suit you, or that it's for advanced players, which made me nervous, but a friend recommended it to me, so I borrowed a senior player's blade. It was so easy to use that I took the plunge and bought one.
You can play from anywhere, front or back, and there's nothing to complain about. It was an expensive purchase, but I'm glad I bought it.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

I use Rakza on both forehand and backhand.
The blade gets heavier, but the power of your drives increases. I don't feel like I can lose in rallies from mid-distance or away from the table. Smashes are also easy to hit, and attacking overall is very easy.Players who mainly rally close to the table might find it heavy, but for players with a style of hitting repeated shots from mid-distance or further back, I think this is a combination I can really recommend.

It flies in a very straight line
I think it's difficult unless you have a bit of power
Light hits bounce quite a bit, but I felt that hard hits don't bounce as muchRather than hitting the ball flat for your drive, brushing it

This was my first special-material blade, so I was a little nervous, but I thought it was a really great blade. Drives fly in a straight line, but they still clear the net with room to spare! The crisp metallic "pakin pakin" sound is satisfying and addictive!
Also, delicate touches in the short game were also really easy to do!
It's very light and doesn't demand any particular rubber, so I'd love for intermediate players to try it too!

I used to use a Fly-At Carbon blade, but arylate carbon really is easier to use! I'm an all-rounder, so it suits me really well! For rubber, I use Dignics 05 and Tenergy 80, and the ball just flies! I'm extremely satisfied!

It's an all-around blade that nails the trifecta of good bounce, good spin, and good control. It's used so widely that if you're torn between special-material blades, you really can't go wrong just picking this one, and it's also a favorite among pros. That said, on rubber compatibility, my impression was that if you put on rubber that's too hard, it bounces too much and ends up unusable. If you're some kind of insane muscle-bound powerhouse like the Chinese players, that might be fine, but generally I think medium-hardness spin-oriented rubbers suit it best. Also, since it's a carbon blade, I can't recommend it to beginners. If you're going to use it, I'd recommend it for players who can already win matches to some degree!
