The Timo Boll ALC is the blade of choice for the European Triple Champion, Timo Boll. Timo working with Butterfly’s technicians, helped design his new blade which offers a touch more speed than his previous model but still allows for the production of the heavy topspin strokes Timo is known for.
Using his new blade along with Butterfly’s new Tenergy rubbers, Timo successfully defended all three of his Titles at the 2008 European Championships. Timo plays fair and wins and so can you. The Timo Boll ALC offers the maximum blend of speed, heavy spin, and Control.

Hitting with it, it made that satisfying metallic sound you get from carbon blades. It felt great.
Even though it's carbon, it doesn't have too much bounce — hitting from mid-distance the ball carries well, and it doesn't get out of control in the short game either, so it was easy to handle.
That said, since it's an outer carbon blade, I feel like it might be hard to get spin on your drives unless you can swing through properly.

From what I saw in the reviews,
there were a lot of complaints about it being hard to handle, having too much bounce, and so on,
but it was easier to use than I expected.
Pushes tend to pop up a bit more,
but if you put good backspin on them, they stay low.
Also, for topspin drives, if you're brushing the ball thinly,
it's better not to tilt the blade face up too much,
and if you hit with a strong impact, it actually goes in more easily than you'd expect.
It also gets a good amount of spin,

I switched from the Innerforce Layer ALC. Let me compare the two. First, the speed is on another level — no comparison to the Innerforce Layer. Next, for spin, the Innerforce Layer gets slightly more spin, or is easier to spin with, though the Timo Boll is also easy to spin with. Next, for the short game, this blade bounces more than the Innerforce Layer, so when I first started using it the ball would sometimes pop up and get hit, but it's fine once you get used to it. For chiquita, the Timo Boll wins hands down; for push, the Innerforce Layer; for flick, they're about even. Finally, for topspin drives, the Innerforce Layer is easier for loop drives, and the Timo Boll is easier for speed drives. I'd recommend either one.

Butterfly faction (Experience: ６〜１０ years) The strongest

Since it's light, rubbers like Tenergy give you quite a bit of speed and power. In my case, I use Rozena to keep my backhand stable. The open price was 12,000 yen (before tax), which was cheap for a pro-used blade and easy to reach for, but thanks to Boll's success it's now normal to see it priced at 15,000 yen or more.

This blade, which uses arylate carbon, lets you attack with stability. It also feels a bit lighter compared to the old Timo Boll Spirit that used to be sold. In my case I used Tenergy 05 on both sides, and the stable attacking power was great. I'd highly recommend it to players like me who prioritize stable play, but it's a blade geared toward intermediate and advanced players.

From my own experience using it, I felt like the speed was really impressive. The spin isn't all that special, but since the speed is amazing, it's a blade I'd recommend for people who hit a lot of smashes. I don't think you'll regret buying it.

A friend of mine has recently been using this blade, so they lent it to me.
I'm currently using the Innerforce Layer ALC, and compared to that, this one felt like it had a lot more bounce.
As for spin, maybe because the ball leaves the blade so quickly, it was pretty hard to get spin on it.
But the speed was really fast,
and I found myself wondering what it would be like paired with the Bryce High Speed.
