The Timo Boll ALC is the blade of choice for the European Triple Champion, Timo Boll. Timo working with Butterfly’s technicians, helped design his new blade which offers a touch more speed than his previous model but still allows for the production of the heavy topspin strokes Timo is known for.
Using his new blade along with Butterfly’s new Tenergy rubbers, Timo successfully defended all three of his Titles at the 2008 European Championships. Timo plays fair and wins and so can you. The Timo Boll ALC offers the maximum blend of speed, heavy spin, and Control.

This is the strongest blade in the world. It was a really great blade. The spin, speed, and control are all excellent.

I switched from the Jun Mizutani (discontinued).
I feel like the speed has gone up compared to before, and the ball travels in a straighter line. It feels like the ball stays on the blade a bit longer than with ZLC.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

Even now, this is a blade everyone loves!
It suits any rubber, and every technique is easy to pull off!
Especially over the table, the bounce and how well the ball stays on the table are both amazing!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

The feel is relatively soft.
It pairs well with hard rubber.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

Comparing it side by side with the Freitas, I thought this one had a slightly softer feel!
So it pairs excellently with harder rubbers.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Little soft

It feels like the definitive outer-carbon blade.
Among outer blades, I'd say it's an easy-to-use one that lets you get good spin and good speed.
Personally I prefer 7-ply or 5-ply wood blades, so I really struggle with the carbon feel and how fast the ball leaves the blade, but for people who already use outer blades, or for stepping up from an inner blade, I think this is ideal.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard

Unless you have quite a lot of skill, you can't control it. You end up in what people call "being used by the blade" or "hitting purely off the rubber's performance."
That said, since Boll himself actually uses it, I think it's fair to say the quality is top-tier.
It could also be fun to deliberately try pairing it with a quirky rubber.Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness little hard
