The Nittaku Acoustic was made according to the principles used in making string instruments. The materials used for this blade are thicker and softer than those in the Nittaku Violin. This provides the Acoustic with stable characteristics when attacking and blocking. Made in Japan.

I use short pips on my backhand, and I used to have them on a carbon blade, but I made a lot of mistakes on my own attacking shots, so in search of more stability I ended up with this blade. Because the ball sits on it so well, you get a proper arc, so you can even topspin with short pips, and spin techniques like chiquita and reverse chiquita are really easy to pull off! That said, it's not like you lose the ability to produce knuckle balls either, so I think this blade brings out the full character of whatever rubber you use. It definitely pairs well with Moristo SP, so give that combo a try.

It broke and I can't use it anymore, but I'm writing this as a send-off.
At first I was looking for a replacement for Butterfly's discontinued Kong Linghui blade, and bought this one because it seemed decent enough.The grip was thin and easy to hold.
*I've looked at other people's copies of this blade, and it seems like there's quite a bit of individual variation in the grip.I put on Andro's Rasant (discontinued) and found it a blade with good ball-holding and solid spin.
Something I've been thinking lately is that it feels better to match a blade with rubbers from the same maker.

A standard 5-ply blade.
Unlike the springy 5-plies you see these days, this is a THE-5-ply with great ball-holding.An all-round blade that doesn't kill performance no matter what rubber you put on it.
It pairs especially well with short pips.Control performance is outstanding.
The reason is the even, uniform blade.
The sweet spot is wide, so no matter where the ball hits, it goes where you're aiming.

First, the standout point about this blade would have to be 'pure wood'. Comfortable feel, moderate ball-holding, and just the right bounce. There are versions in the same line with special materials mixed in, but this one is actually softer and easier to handle. In terms of speed, the Acoustic Carbon or Inner version wins out, but there's a kind of excellence — the feel, the way the ball sits — that only pure wood can achieve.
I've put all kinds of rubbers on the backhand — long pips, short pips, anti-spin — and this blade never killed the character of any of them.
On the forehand I've used all sorts of bouncy rubbers like Hurricane, Kiryu, and Rozena, and I had absolutely no complaints.
For short pips on the backhand or players chasing speed, the Acoustic Carbon is the way to go.

The bounce is modest and the blade is on the thin side, so spin is really easy to generate. The grip is thin and opinions will differ on that, but if you buy this one blade you can keep using it for a long time. Even if you're slightly off-center on contact, the bounce and feel stay consistent, so I think it's especially good for players with a rally-oriented style, don't you think?

Speed is on the modest side compared to the Acoustic Carbon and spin is easy to generate, but if you swing through properly you can hit a heavy ball. I don't think the weight is anything to worry much about either. Also, there's no rubber it doesn't get along with — it suits all kinds of playing styles, from inverted rubber to unorthodox attacking styles, so I liked that about it.

The balance is good.
Both spin and feel are excellent, but speed might be lacking. I think a harder tension rubber that generates speed would suit it well — something like the V15, for example.
That said, it should be plenty for beginners.
Once you reach intermediate level, you might find it a bit lacking.
