    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
VENTUS Extra receives high ratings as a versatile rubber for intermediate players, with excellent drive performance and easy spin application being key features. However, weight is a concern, and some users report shorter durability.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Stable drive with easy arc trajectory
    • Easy to apply spin, excellent against backspin
    • Good balance between speed and spin
    • Relatively heavy weight limits dual-sided application
    • Some reports of shorter lifespan than expected
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveSpin application is excellent, and the drive performance is valuable at this price point. Highly recommendable for beginners to intermediate players. Considering cost-performance, every element scores above 80 points with excellent completion.
▽ CriticalDurability was exhausted in just one month with 8 hours weekly practice. Lost spin performance after 2.5 months, with Rozena being a better choice. Drives require clean form to stay on table, and the linear trajectory requires adaptation.

Takuro (Experience: 11〜20 years) 05 for backspin, otherwise it's about swing speed

      Reviews by user

      Pros
      · When looping against backspin, you can hit it easily with an arc as high as Tenergy 05.
      · It doesn't bounce as much as Tenergy, and the sheet is soft, so it's actually easier to loop against backspin than 05.

      Cons
      · Because it's heavy, quick racket work in the short game might lag a bit.
      · It doesn't have the forgiveness that softer rubbers have. If you hit with your body position broken, the ball tends to fly flat with no spin, or you're prone to mistakes.
      · If your swing speed isn't fast, the ball easily comes out flat with no spin.

Looping against backspin is genuinely something to highlight, but for everything else, if your swing speed isn't fast the ball comes out flat.
Price-wise you might end up comparing it to Rozena or Vega Tour, but performance-wise I feel like it's a rubber to compare against Tenergy 05 or Rakza X, which are also easy to loop backspin with.

Who wants to fall w (Experience: 2〜3 years) Topspin rallies are the best---

      Reviews by user

      Comparison with Fastarc G1
Speed (light hit): G1 = Ventus
      (hard hit): G1 ≥ Ventus
Spin (light hit): G1 ≤ Ventus
      (hard hit): G1 = Ventus
Control (light hit): G1 < Ventus
      (hard hit): G1 < Ventus
It's super easy to hit with, so I don't think you'd ever regret buying it.

Table tennis aho (Experience: Less than a year) Overall a very good rubber

      Reviews by user

This rubber has great performance — it bounces well and puts plenty of spin on the ball.
When you drive, the ball traces a slight arc and lands on the table. Pushes are also very easy to hit, and if anything it suits the forehand better.
You can use it on the backhand too, but since the sponge is on the hard side, I still think it's more of a forehand rubber.
The short game is stable while still putting spin on the ball.
Control is good too, and the ball goes where you picture it going.
This rubber makes every technique easy —
      it's a real all-around honor-roll rubber.
It's a popular rubber that a wide range of players can use.
I want everyone to try it at least once.

Hitoshi Takuri (Experience: 2〜3 years) Recommended from intermediate level

      Blade: Harimoto Innerforce ALC

      Rubber: (forehand) Super Ventus *thick
      (backhand) Super Ventus *thick

Feel: ◎ Sinks in just the right amount

Control: ◎ Easy to send the ball where you're aiming

Spin: ◎ Goes on easily on serves and drives

Speed: ◯ Comes out on drives, but is ordinary in rallies

Combining the Harimoto Innerforce ALC's moderate bounce and "feel of gripping the ball" with Super Ventus's "speed" and "grip on the ball" gives you excellent ball-holding and great overall balance.
Personally I'd recommend the thick version.

      Comment from player Kenji Matsudaira:
"Honestly, I was surprised by how much better the performance was than I expected. The balance between the sheet and the sponge is great, and it's a rubber that really catches the ball properly."

The drive is really stable. That said, it doesn't have much speed. Blocks and the like are stable too, but since the arc is high, it's easy for the opponent to attack you back. When you hit a smash or meet shot, the speed doesn't come out much.
I'd recommend this to people who want to stabilize their drive.
