    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
VENTUS Extra receives high ratings as a versatile rubber for intermediate players, with excellent drive performance and easy spin application being key features. However, weight is a concern, and some users report shorter durability.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Stable drive with easy arc trajectory
    • Easy to apply spin, excellent against backspin
    • Good balance between speed and spin
    • Relatively heavy weight limits dual-sided application
    • Some reports of shorter lifespan than expected
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveSpin application is excellent, and the drive performance is valuable at this price point. Highly recommendable for beginners to intermediate players. Considering cost-performance, every element scores above 80 points with excellent completion.
▽ CriticalDurability was exhausted in just one month with 8 hours weekly practice. Lost spin performance after 2.5 months, with Rozena being a better choice. Drives require clean form to stay on table, and the linear trajectory requires adaptation.

Impact pride (Experience: 4〜5 years) Outstanding stability

      Reviews by user

I bought this right when it came out but then just left it sitting around, and when I found it again and tried it out — honestly I figured it would barely be different from Ventus with "Super" tacked on the name, but when I actually drove with it, it turned out to be really stable, easy to put spin on, and it has speed too. That said, the maximum spin ceiling is a bit low. But it really is stable. The arc is high too, forming a nice high arcing trajectory that lands properly on the opponent's side. The ball carries well too, and overall it is a good rubber — I'm thinking of making it a candidate for my backhand rubber.

Shiokara (Experience: 4〜5 years) Feels different from before

      Reviews by user

Compared to the previous Ventus series rubbers, the quirks are gone, and both speed and spin have improved, so the drive has become seriously powerful.
That said, even though it's a Ventus, it doesn't put spin on the ball automatically, so you need to be careful about that.
I'd recommend it to people who can swing hard and often.

      I'm Vantas (Experience: 2〜3 years) God-tier rubber

      Reviews by user

I had this rubber glued on both sides, and honestly it works fine on either side, lol. There's no technique that's especially hard to pull off, but there's no technique that's especially easy either. That said, I feel like every technique is a bit above average with it. When you hit a drive, you can feel the sensation of hitting a heavy ball right through your hand. The one and only drawback is that it's heavy. If Tenergy is too expensive for you, this is totally a fine alternative!

SKY (Experience: 6〜10 years) Currently using on backhand side

      Reviews by user

I currently use this on my backhand.
I originally had short pips on there, but it was inconvenient when coaching kids, so I re-glued.

Both meet shots and drives are easy to hit.
The speed feels a bit lacking, but it doesn't bother me much in practice.
Even my backhand drive, which I'm not that used to, gets solid spin on it.

It's easy to use, so I recommend it.

      TH (Experience: 6〜10 years)

      Reviews by user

The sheet is on the softer side and the sponge is hard, giving an impression similar to Target Pro or DNA.
The rubber is heavy (heavier than Target Pro GT-H47), so I think you'd need to adjust your blade's weight or build up your power to use it well.
Personally, an inner-material blade gave me the best feel.
I'd recommend using this rubber as a stepping stone toward Target Pro, DNA, or Tenergy.
It's a bit of a different type from V-15 or Fastarc, so if you're eventually planning to use V-15 or Fastarc, maybe go through a different rubber as a stepping stone instead.

Petit (Experience: More than 20 years) Feels like a typical modern rubber

      Reviews by user

I used this glued to an inner carbon blade.

It's a very "modern" rubber in the sense that it's strong against topspin but needs some technique against backspin.

The sheet has strong tension, and against an incoming drive, it grips the ball firmly enough that even if you angle the blade straight down, the drive still flies forward properly.

Despite that, it doesn't really give you a "holding" feeling, and if anything that makes meet-style shots easier too.

Spinning it, curving it, smacking it — every shot in a rally is easy, and it still puts solid spin on the ball.
You can control how high your own arc is.

Serves also bite easily. Unlike softer rubbers, it's easy to put a sharp spin on the serve and keep it low on the table.

That said, for pushes and stops the ball comes off a bit quickly, so you need to pay attention to angle and touch.
      It does bite well, though.

For drives against backspin, the ball comes off the rubber fast, so you need an accurate angle and swing.
But as long as you get the angle right, the good grip means the drive goes in well.

The chiquita is the same way — as long as you can make thin contact, it goes in easily.

Up through the third and fourth ball you need a bit of technique.
But once you're into the rally after that, it's a rubber that's really easy to play with.

Marin Extra Offensive (Experience: 2〜3 years) This is godly!!

      Reviews by user

This is a good rubber. The control is amazing! Even though the top sheet is hard, it holds onto the ball well, so it goes where you're aiming. That said, you don't get the speed unless you really sink the ball into it, and while you do get a fair amount of spin, I felt it's a rubber that only intermediate players and above can really handle. However, since I used the max thickness version, I think even beginners could handle it if they went with the regular thick version instead.
