    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
VENTUS Extra receives high ratings as a versatile rubber for intermediate players, with excellent drive performance and easy spin application being key features. However, weight is a concern, and some users report shorter durability.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Stable drive with easy arc trajectory
    • Easy to apply spin, excellent against backspin
    • Good balance between speed and spin
    • Relatively heavy weight limits dual-sided application
    • Some reports of shorter lifespan than expected
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveSpin application is excellent, and the drive performance is valuable at this price point. Highly recommendable for beginners to intermediate players. Considering cost-performance, every element scores above 80 points with excellent completion.
▽ CriticalDurability was exhausted in just one month with 8 hours weekly practice. Lost spin performance after 2.5 months, with Rozena being a better choice. Drives require clean form to stay on table, and the linear trajectory requires adaptation.

Table tennis boy (Experience: 2〜3 years) Highly recommend!!

      Reviews by user

My old rubber had worn out and I was wondering
      what to replace it with,
when I tried a test hit with the one my club coach
was using, and I was surprised!
It lifts backspin balls up firmly and they clear the net
with a pretty low trajectory before landing
on the opponent's side — the stability was outstanding!
The short game is also quite easy to play.
I think it works fine on both the backhand and forehand!
It is a bit heavy though,
so I think you need good swing speed
      for it.
      Sorry for the long post.

      Gucho (Experience: 4〜5 years) Good

      Reviews by user

      This is good.

I use the Swat CHN blade. Both sides set up for close-to-the-table attacking.
I have 1.8mm on the backhand.

It's good in every respect, but the weight...

With max thickness I felt it was pretty heavy, so I went with 1.8mm instead.

I'll definitely keep using Super Ventus going forward.

King Kong (Experience: 6〜10 years) Great value for money

      Reviews by user

The number one feature of this rubber is its grip. It grips the ball so consistently that you can drive from any situation. The spin amount and power aren't quite up to Tenergy's level, but the feel on contact is a little similar. The downside is that it doesn't fly far and doesn't sink into the ball all that well. If you back away from the table to hit, the ball inevitably ends up shallow. This is a rubber that feels like a budget version of Tenergy 05 Hard.

Elbow pain revival (Experience: 4〜5 years) Amazing that this is only 5000 yen retail

      Reviews by user

I got curious after seeing a table tennis YouTuber's test-hit video, and switched over from tacky rubber to this one.
I really like the combination of a firm sheet with a springy, elastic sponge.
It felt like something between Nittaku's G1 and C1.
The ball sinks in more than with G1 on drives, so the drive flies out cleanly without mishitting off the edge.
The short game also stays under control without popping up too much.
Blocking and countering are both very easy.
At a list price of 5000 yen, I think this is an incredibly good deal.

      Ponta (Experience: 11〜20 years) Heavy

      Reviews by user

It's stable. The ball goes where you expect it to, so it gives you peace of mind. Personally I felt it's similar to Rakza X. The spin is about the same or a bit more, and the speed is maybe just a bit in Super Ventus's favor. On top of that, the feel is totally different, but it doesn't feel far off from the Tenergy 80 I used to hit with a while back. You might question my judgment on that one, though, lol.

It's heavy, so you need to be careful about the weight of the rubber on the other side too. I have Super Ventus on the forehand and Rakza 7 Soft on the backhand of my Innerforce ALC, but maybe because of the big weight difference, my forehand felt hard to swing. I think that's because my previous combo was Rakza 7 Soft on both sides — a light-light combination. I bought this without checking the weight, so the weight difference threw me off.

VICTAS followers (Experience: 2〜3 years) By far the best rubber I've ever used!

      Reviews by user

It's a rubber with no standout feature, in a good way.
Overall the balance is good and it was easy to use. Putting return spin on the ball against both backspin and topspin was especially easy.
For topspin rallies and countering against loops, the sheet is firm enough that it doesn't lose out on spin. The sponge hardness is the same as V-15 Extra, so I think it's good to use before moving up to that one.

Beginner kid (Experience: 4〜5 years) No flaws

      Reviews by user

It doesn't have any one standout feature, but every kind of play is easy with it. Both speed and distance come out well, and it puts spin on the ball too. Serves bite well, and you can easily hit flat, straight pushes too. Blocking is stable as well. The feel is good, and it makes a solid sound on contact.

Overall it's a rubber with no real weaknesses. I don't think it's too hard, so it works on both sides.
On the forehand it's strong against both topspin and backspin, so you can take the advantage in drives and rallies, and on the backhand you get plenty of spin, stability, and control on your drives, letting you play stable both offensively and defensively.

I don't think it's picky about the blade. This goes for the Ventus series as a whole, but the performance is evenly high with few quirks, so I think it's a rubber loved by everyone.
