    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
VENTUS Extra receives high ratings as a versatile rubber for intermediate players, with excellent drive performance and easy spin application being key features. However, weight is a concern, and some users report shorter durability.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Stable drive with easy arc trajectory
    • Easy to apply spin, excellent against backspin
    • Good balance between speed and spin
    • Relatively heavy weight limits dual-sided application
    • Some reports of shorter lifespan than expected
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveSpin application is excellent, and the drive performance is valuable at this price point. Highly recommendable for beginners to intermediate players. Considering cost-performance, every element scores above 80 points with excellent completion.
▽ CriticalDurability was exhausted in just one month with 8 hours weekly practice. Lost spin performance after 2.5 months, with Rozena being a better choice. Drives require clean form to stay on table, and the linear trajectory requires adaptation.

Table tennis is interesting (Experience: 2〜3 years)

I use the red MAX version on my forehand.
This rubber is heavy, so I wouldn't recommend gluing on a thick sheet if you're not confident in your power. (For reference, my blade is 88g and I have G-1 thick on the backhand, for a total of 191g.) The feature of this rubber is that the sheet grips well and it's easy to put spin on the ball. However, since the sponge is hard, it doesn't really sink into the ball, so I'd recommend it for players who attack with drives rather than smashes. The drive has good stability and solid spin, so the power is nothing to complain about.
The short game, like pushes, is no problem, but the ball tends to float up a bit, so it takes some getting used to. (Might just be my lack of skill.)
For serves, as the thickness increases, you need to be conscious of putting real spin on it or the spin ends up weak.
Chopping isn't impossible, but you shouldn't expect much.
It's well balanced and easy to handle even for beginners, but I'd recommend starting with the thick version first to check whether the weight suits you.

Sashimi (Experience: 6〜10 years) Practice makes perfect!

      Reviews by user

I use this on my backhand.
My first impression was, "this is seriously hard."
I personally prefer hard rubbers on the backhand so I was somewhat used to that, but even so, this one gave me the impression of being too hard.
Maybe because of that hardness, it took me a bit of a struggle to get used to it. Blocking in particular was hard.

But once you get used to it, it's a rubber where everything lands!
Once you're used to it, blocks are stable because the rubber is hard, and above all, you can pull off the short game really well!

It does have the drawback of being hard to control, but it's a rubber that rewards you once you put in solid practice!

Alaser who loves table tennis (Experience: 11〜20 years) Really great!!!

      Reviews by user

I use this on my forehand!
The rubber is on the heavier side, but that weight means the drive comes out fast, and it puts spin on the ball while staying stable!
The sheet is on the soft side, so it grips the ball well against backspin too!
Blocks come back stable just by touching the ball, and if you swing a bit more you can return it counter-style!
The short game isn't its strongest point, but I think you can handle it well enough!
If you're a drive player who feels a hard sheet doesn't suit you, this one has a soft sheet with a slightly harder sponge, so I think it's easy to handle!

Kempoo (Experience: 2〜3 years) Really great.

      Reviews by user

Honestly, I never thought I'd switch away from V-15 Extra. But the spin amount is on par with high-end rubbers like V-15 or Tenergy, and if anything the sheet is softer than those, so it's easier to put spin on the ball. And the price is overwhelmingly cheap. Great value for money. It gets a decent amount of distance too. Some people might find the top-end speed lacking, but it's more than enough to blow past intermediate players. It's easy to control, and it lets you hit high-quality, heavy balls with real carry — I don't think there's another rubber with this good a value for money. Even in rallies, in spots where V-15 couldn't fully put spin on the ball and the quality dropped, this one lets me put proper spin on and hit heavy balls more easily. Fewer mistakes, easier rallies — it's the best rubber.

Table tennis aho (Experience: Less than a year) Tried it again and it was a good rubber

      Reviews by user

I wrote a review of this rubber before, but trying it again, it's actually a really good rubber. (Turns out it was just my lack of skill after all.)
When you serve, the spin just tears through the ball, and drives go in on their own,
the short game lands stably, and blocks go in easily too.
It's a really good rubber and I'm planning to use it again.
In the end, it's a rubber with really good overall balance, and at TSP pricing it's great value for money.
It suits all kinds of players regardless of level.
      This got way too long.
Thanks for reading all the way through!

Large yasaka love (contradiction) (Experience: 4〜5 years) All-purpose...!

      Reviews by user

I wasn't confident on my backhand, so after talking it over with a shop staff member, I bought this as a rubber that puts plenty of spin on the ball.
It turned out to be quite soft and easy to control. Whether you'd adjust quickly when switching to your next rubber after this one is another question though…
I'd recommend using this rubber when you're graduating from beginner-level rubbers.

I used one I got as a monitor sample. I think it puts good spin on the ball.
Personally though, it was a bit hard for my taste.
