Some people say tacky rubber doesn't have enough distance, but I think those people just haven't learned how to play with tacky rubber.
If you hit it with a tension-style stroke, you won't get much spin and the ball won't fly, so I think it's better to learn the tacky playing style before using it.
The Turbo Blue is a really great rubber.
Even though it's tacky, it still flies reasonably well even with a tension-style stroke.

First of all, since it's a tacky rubber, it's heavy. With short pips on the backhand it comes to about 187g, so I imagine going inverted on both sides would easily push past 190g. I think even people who aren't confident in their strength can still use a tacky rubber, but you'll be carrying a bit of a handicap.
As for the rubber itself, the ball comes out incredibly heavy. It's a good tacky rubber that grips the ball solidly for spin. It doesn't produce much speed, so I think a good strategy is to induce mistakes with spin that the opponent hates. Serves really bite. The amount of spin is on a completely different level compared to tension rubbers. The short game is of course easy to play — that's one of the great things about tacky rubbers.
That said, the sponge hardness is 60 degrees (German scale), the same as Omega VII China Kage, so I can't recommend it to people who don't get along with hard rubbers.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

It just gets a ton of spin, and the second-gear extension and bounce after it lands on the opponent's side is incredible.

Using this rubber made me realize that the weight of a tacky rubber is actually what helps you build proper form. This rubber weighs around 60 grams and is very heavy, but because of that weight, a half-hearted form just won't get the ball in anymore. I took this in a positive way — it became a trigger for me to think about how to get the ball in and how to hit a good shot. Compared to my tension-rubber days, I've gotten better at lifting against backspin. I've also become able to do techniques like the "Mima punch." I've become able to drive the ball properly on my own. When using a tacky rubber, I'd recommend making the total weight as heavy as you reasonably can. Layering extra coats of glue, or using something like Midatei Hurricane, tends to add weight.

I've been using tacky rubbers all along, and out of all of them, this sponge is hard enough to rank in the top 3. And it's very heavy.
I don't think a middle-schooler could handle it at all. The quality of the top sheet is excellent and you can really feel strong friction, plus the lifespan is on the longer side, so I'd highly recommend it to intermediate-to-advanced players.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

This rubber will change the world. No matter what you say, that spin, and the way the ball extends or dives the instant it lands in the opponent's court, will leave them completely bewildered. When you full-swing it, the power carries a sense of something immeasurable. Even at its shortest, I think the lifespan lasts at least half a year. People say a tacky rubber is done for once the tackiness fades, but it doesn't drop off that easily. This rubber will undoubtedly give players confidence. That confidence will turn into conviction, and that conviction will turn into hope. There are no limits — the one who always decides the limit is you yourself. So, why not pick it up at least once? You might change... Who's going to surprise the world? You are.

I have Hurricane on the forehand and short pips on the backhand. I'll compare it to Dignics 09c and Omega VII China Kage.
Bounce: Dignics > Hurricane > Omega
Spin: Hurricane > Omega > Dignics
Stability: Dignics > Omega > Hurricane
Tricky/quirky balls: Omega > Hurricane > Dignics
Hardness: hard — Hurricane = Omega > Dignics — soft
That's roughly how it is. Of the Hurricane rubbers I've used, this is about as hard as the hardest version of Hurricane NEO3. For serve receive, no rubber I know of beats this one right now. As for drives, it's basically cheat-level. The spin stays on the ball to a crazy degree when it comes back. Even if you try to hit it with short pips, the ball quality is quite heavy and you have to put real impact into it.
As for a blade that suits this rubber, I think a thin, hard blade works well. I'd recommend a STIGA blade.
Lastly, I think the only people who can really use this rubber well are at the national level or above. I still can't use it to its full potential myself, so I want to train to increase my impact and produce even nastier shots.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard
