I won this in Table Tennis Kingdom's free TSP rubber trial campaign and used it. Back in junior high I also used Spectrum on my B-side, and back then I used glue. This time, using it without glue after a long while, my impression was that with the plastic ball, the knuckle effect felt weaker. I guess that's because with the plastic ball, when it bounces on the opponent's side of the table, friction with the table surface turns it into topspin.
That said, the Spectrum brand still holds its own, and to sum it up in one line, I think it's a good rubber that balances the classic short-pips virtues well: high pitch from fast ball release, knuckle balls, and insensitivity to spin. It's perfect for a style where you give up on the push and instead use angle hits, meet hits, and pushes on the B-side while putting topspin drives on the F-side.
It does have tension too, so it's not like it doesn't grip for spin at all, but I think it's kind of pointless to expect spin from a short pips rubber. With the plastic ball I feel like the ball drops slightly, but I think you can make up for that with practice. I'd really recommend using it on the B-side if you're a drive-oriented player.Overall Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

On the forehand side I have Provincial Hurricane NEO3 with blue sponge.
Even with the same swing, it grips the ball and generates noticeably stronger spin than the Jun Mizutani ZLC!
It has that stiff upper-ply feel typical of Timo Boll-style blades, but thanks to the supple-yet-stiff ZL carbon and the 5.5 mm thickness combined with a grip-side balance point, it felt more flexible than I expected and easier to handle than I'd anticipated.
In particular, for short-game techniques like stop and push, it settled and stayed under control better than the Jun Mizutani ZLC.
The issue is that you don't get much sense of the ball gripping the sponge, so the feel for drives is a bit tricky.
Personally, I managed to adapt on my forehand, but the problem was the backhand drive.
I clearly felt I needed to hit backhand drives with a different sensation than with a wood-ply blade.
I had to stretch myself a bit, but as I picked up the new feel and became more conscious of my upper arm, arm, and hips, things stabilized, so now I use it as my main blade.
It's not a cheap purchase, but it really is a top-tier blade, so I'd say give it a try at least once!Overall Speed Spin Control Touch Hardness Hard

Just like the title says, this was a really easy-to-use combo.
- Receiving is really easy. Pushes bite well. Overwriting a push is also easy. Even if it floats, the opponent tends to miss! Chiquita goes in fine and topspin drives land reliably too. So versatile — you can go from receive straight into a chiquita or backhand drive!
- Even against sidespin-topspin serves, you can easily adjust the angle and stop it!
- Since it doesn't bounce much, it's really easy to produce heavily spun serves. Short, sharply spun serves are also really easy to produce!
- Since it doesn't bounce much, you can control not just the course but also the depth (or shallowness) of the ball.
- You can win points by varying the pace of the ball!
- Since the ball lands shallow, you can aim for wide-angle courses that clip the sideline!
x That said, the speed is slow, and the ball lands pretty shallow. Absolute power is low!
x There's a chance the opponent hits a powerful ball back. If they do, you might not be able to reach it or touch it.
x The quality of the ball has gone down.
x Since there's no power, you inevitably have to win by varying the pace.
That's about it. Personally I had a really good impression of it!

- The wide blade area makes it easy to generate power, thanks to the tip-heavy balance!
- The limba top sheet combined with the wide blade area gives outstanding ball-holding and arc!
- The flared area near the handle makes it easy to get a solid grip for forehands!
The blade surface is 158x150mm, 5.9mm thick, and this particular unit weighs 88g.
Compared to a regular size, the wider blade area shifts the balance toward the tip, and if you let centrifugal force work for you, it's easy to hit really nasty drives.
What's amazing about this blade is that even though the limba top sheet gives a pleasant hitting feel, you still get ball quality and spin on par with a blade that has a harder top sheet.
It's basically a god-given blade that combines stability and power in a way that normally can't coexist.
Meet-style shots are a bit harder to pull off, so keep in mind this blade is built for spin-oriented swings, backhand included.
Also, one distinctive feature is that the flared handle area sticks out quite a bit, which will probably split opinion.

A member of my club was using this, so I borrowed it.
It's incredibly easy to control, just amazing!!
I get why the owner comes at opponents aggressively from the receive with things like chiquita.
When I could put my own spin on the ball, it felt quite stable.
It's a bit hard to generate power, but I felt like that's something you just have to make up for with strength training.
The blade is also fairly thick, so if you pair it with a harder rubber, you can get surprisingly more power out of it.
I think it's good to polish your fundamentals with this blade, then move on to a composite blade or a 7-ply once you want to start winning.
I'd definitely recommend it to beginners.
