      I think you can put almost any inverted rubber on this.
      Five of the seven plies are smoked, giving the whole blade a soft finish.
      My impression is, if you already own a regular 5-ply blade, do you really need this one?

      This was my first blade, recommended to me by the shop staff. The rubber I'm using is my second rubber.
      First, this blade has a good balance between speed off the blade and grip on the ball. Because of that, it's easy not just for drives but also for flat hits like angled shots. I think that's probably why Karube used it.
      A moderate weight, a moderately thin grip with a moderate roundness, moderate speed, moderate spin — all of it is perfect for finding your own style. I felt the same kind of all-around versatility, and the same slight lack of a standout trait, as Nittaku's Factive.
      The feel on contact wasn't to my personal taste, but I think using this blade helps you establish your playing style, so if you're struggling to find your way in table tennis or want to discover your own individuality, I think it's worth trying at least once.

      Here are my impressions after using it.
      First, drives come off feeling really nice.
      When I gripped it, it was a bit on the thin side, and easy to hold.
      The feel on contact was decent, and the control was excellent.
      It's easy to use regardless of gender. The handling is quite high.
      I'd call it more of an all-round blade.
      As long as the rubber isn't too hard, pretty much anything matches it, so among TSP's (blade) lineup, it's quite easy to handle.

      TSP followers (Experience: Less than a year) Versatile - even works with long pips!

      This is the blade I currently use. I have Ventus Spin on my forehand and Curl P3 long pips on my backhand.
      It's very easy to put spin on the ball, the bounce really resonates in your hand, and it's just great to use.
      Surprisingly, even though it's a 7-ply blade, long pips worked perfectly fine on it.
      Pretty much any rubber works, and I think even a beginner could handle it just fine, so when picking out a new blade, please do consider the Swat as an option.

      This was my main blade until it broke.
      The one I got weighed 96 grams, 11 grams over the manufacturer's listed weight (come on, TSP...).
      Maybe because of that, my drives were powerful and my blocks had overwhelming stability.
      Pretty much any rubber works with it, but tension rubber is probably the safe choice.
      It was a classic blade that anyone from beginner to advanced could use.

      I used this rubber back when I was a beginner. I'd say the Swat's strong point is definitely its stability. You can swing freely on both forehand and backhand, and it's easy to put spin on the ball. I think it works well from beginner up through intermediate level.
