RAKZA X table tennis rubber from Yasaka is the latest addition to the popular and highly successful RAXZA series of Yasaka rubbers. The top sheet is a mainly natural rubber gum, employing a new production method.
The result is a top surface with exceptional grip enabling both phenomenal spin and speed. These qualities reduce the margin for error. This top sheet is then combined with a harder “Power Sponge”. The resulting combination of a faster sponge and high grip top sheet enables you to place the ball accurately with a high degree of success.
Serves and short returns are both very sharp, similar to the Rakza 7 and Rakza 9.

The grip on the ball is just amazing!
Even a drive against backspin, or backspin that would be tough even with Tenergy, lifts up smoothly.
The bounce feels a little on the low side… but the grip more than makes up for it.
Personally I thought it was really good.
That said, since the sponge is a bit hard, you need a solid impact, so I don't think it's suited to beginners.
It's a really good rubber, so I want to keep using it going forward.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I can strongly recommend this to players who often use flat-hitting shots like speed drives and smashes.
The sheet has a springy, jelly-like bounce to it — I wouldn't really call it hard?
The sponge also has coarse pores and a similar feel to the sheet. It doesn't feel that hard, but maybe the strong elasticity makes it feel hard to a lot of people.Even on a flatter, more linear trajectory, this rubber still drops solidly deep into the opponent's court. It's stable and controllable on speed drives and topspin rallies. I think that's because the drive generates a lot of spin. It's also easy to lift a topspin drive off a third-ball backspin serve while still getting speed, and the power of a single shot doesn't disappoint. When you hit a solid drive, it makes a metallic sound almost as good as the Extend. Rather than the ball flying off on its own, you can really control the amount of force, so with loop drives too I could focus on the spin and really grip the ball.
With flatter shots like smashes, the speed and the natural light topspin made it easy to control.
On the other hand, serves and pushes don't come out choppy since the sheet isn't hard.It can't match Tenergy for spin control, but for a rubber under 4000 yen street price, I think it's about as complete as it gets. I think I'll keep repurchasing it for a while.

I'd recommend this rubber for the forehand. I think it's too hard for the backhand.
The spin on serves is about average, but since it's on the harder side, I think it's easy to brush the ball‼
The short game is about the same as a normal inverted rubber.
And the topspin drive is this rubber's strong point — since it has NSS (Non Slip Sheet), it's well suited to driving against backspin and to counter-drives‼

I think it's easy to generate spin and easy to control.
When you catch the ball deep on a topspin drive, you get both speed and spin, so it produces really good shots — it might be easier to handle on the forehand than the backhand. Even after the sheet's grip starts to wear down, you can still get spin by catching the ball deep, so it lasts a long time too, which is great!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

It has a strong grip feel, but it still gives you a lot of speed when you snap the ball. It's a rubber that works well for both topspin drives and flat hits.
I could rally with topspin drives without any slipping. Compared to the non-slip, spin-oriented Rasant PG, the spin is a bit less, but in exchange it's easier to generate speed.
It's also easier to vary the ball quality than with Rasant PG — even when you hit it flat it still arcs, so it's easy to mix in knuckle drives.
For the short game: pushes stay short and stable if you avoid catching the ball too deep, and flicks work well if you catch the ball deep and snap it.
Blocks and counters are quite easy if you use the rebound power, and it's easy to add variation too.
For players who like to hit flat, I'd recommend an ALC-type blade,
and for players who drive with a lot of spin, a 5-ply wood blade.

I'd been using Rakza 7, so I tried this one, and it's quite different.
Personally, I felt the X gets more distance and suits players who drop back and trade drives from farther away.
So I think it's a perfect fit for a sponsored player like Jin.
Because it gets so much distance, counterattacking from far back is easy.
The trajectory is high, though, so it might be a bit harder to use for players who stay close to the table.
Also, the rubber is hard, so most people might be better off with the X Soft version.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard
