RAKZA X table tennis rubber from Yasaka is the latest addition to the popular and highly successful RAXZA series of Yasaka rubbers. The top sheet is a mainly natural rubber gum, employing a new production method.
The result is a top surface with exceptional grip enabling both phenomenal spin and speed. These qualities reduce the margin for error. This top sheet is then combined with a harder “Power Sponge”. The resulting combination of a faster sponge and high grip top sheet enables you to place the ball accurately with a high degree of success.
Serves and short returns are both very sharp, similar to the Rakza 7 and Rakza 9.

I bought this rubber right when it came out, and I've been hooked ever since — I haven't switched to anything else.
What really stands out is the spin performance. If you can fully swing through a loop drive, you get more spin than 05.
As for serves, short serves are especially easy to produce. The rubber itself is hard and doesn't fly off on a weak impact, so it's also easy to control over the table.You don't get much speed on light taps.
It's roughly like: C1 thick > Rakza X max thickness.
But in exchange, if you put in a strong impact, you can produce high-speed drives with intense spin.It also lasts a long time, and the value for money is quite good.
If Tenergy is too expensive and you're looking for a "post-Tenergy" rubber, definitely give this a try!

A year after starting table tennis, I decided to change my rubber for the first time and was recommended this one.
My first impression was "the feel of the shot stays really vivid, and it grips the ball well" — I remember feeling that clearly!
I play an unorthodox combo of inverted and pips, and there were times I'd get overpowered and pushed back, but now I can hit balls with a strong, carrying spin even from mid-distance.
Even hitting the same basic shots as always, I'm now able to place balls with more spin and more power exactly where I want, and I'm very happy with it!

The sponge is very hard, holding speed in check
while still having high spin performance — basically a cheaper version of Tenergy 25.

When I used it on my forehand with a Ma Lin Carbon blade, I couldn't feel the grip that's supposed to be its defining feature, and it was hard to generate spin, so I thought Rakza 7 was a godly rubber but the X was garbage.
But once I put it on a soft wood blade, the grip feel was outstanding and brushing shots went exactly where I wanted! I guess the compatibility between rubber and blade really does matter.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard

I was using Rakza X Soft, but it was too soft, so I switched to Rakza X.
I use it on my backhand side.
Push/stop: incredibly sharp backspin. Being a "hybrid energy" type, it didn't have that same flying-off-on-its-own feeling that tension rubbers usually have.
Chiquita: a topspin-focused chiquita had enough power to win the point outright.
A sidespin-focused chiquita, maybe due to my own lack of skill, often went long.
Drive: it really gives you the feeling of lifting the ball up yourself. When you really grind into it, the spin you get is on par with tacky Chinese rubber.
When you drive by catching the ball flat, there's quite a sense of speed.
Overall: the ceiling on spin and speed is high. That said, when my touch was weak or I couldn't get into a proper stance, the ball sometimes came out half-baked.
I'd recommend this rubber to intermediate to advanced players. It's nice that it lasts a long time too.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

It's on the harder side, so it suits the forehand, but if you can swing through properly, I think it works on the backhand too.
There's quite a bit of variation between individual sheets, so I'd recommend buying by specified weight or having it weighed for you.
The arc height is just right — a bit lower than Tenergy 05 — so I think it suits close-to-mid-distance play.
It's a non-slip sheet so you never slip, but be careful, since it's quite affected by your opponent's spin.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
