  • CLIPPER WOOD

    User review

I used the 88g FL. It was a relatively light item, with many weighing over 90g.

Its features are its unique high hitting sound and the feel it gives in your hand.
Although it is a high-pitched sound, it is not a metallic sound like carbon, but a pleasant one like hitting wood.
In terms of performance, it is slightly more bouncy than the 7-ply wood, but I think the balance of flexibility and rotation is good.

The FL grip is unique in that it is thinner and gets thicker towards the grip end. Please note that if you grip it deeply, it will feel quite thin and thin.
I have heard that the ST is also quite thicker than the FL, so I recommend that you try gripping it in the store to check the weight.

I used the MAX. It weighed 72g before cutting and approximately 51g after cutting.

A true masterpiece of early-generation German rubbers.

The sheet is soft, but the sponge is stiff for a 47.5° shaft, the exact opposite of today's mainstream rubbers.

The prevalence of heavier rubbers is also a characteristic of the older generation.

It has a speedier, slightly straighter trajectory than the Rakza 7, which is from the same generation.

They are similar in that they offer just the right amount of bounce, decent spin, and are fairly easy to grip and increase backspin.

However, it feels more slippery than the Rakza 7. It's particularly difficult to counter topspin, and there are many situations where you'll feel the sheet's limitations.

If you buy it online, you can get it for under ¥5,000 with significant discounts, so it might be worth giving it a try given its good value for money.

    I tried out the 2.1mm.

Both the seat and sponge are fairly firm, but some people may find it grips better than the Tenergy 19 or 05.

Unlike Tenergy, it doesn't fly as far after you grip it with the seat, so it feels a little closer to the German style.

Its biggest feature is the ball that goes up. I thought the Tenergy 19 also went up, but this one goes even further.

The amount of spin is also excellent, and the receiver can clearly feel the ball's movement after it hits the court.

Since there's little difference between the initial and final speeds, the first time you receive it, you'll likely miss the block repeatedly.

The stiffness is more noticeable when you're backhanded, so the required impact quality is higher.

On the flip side, you can hit more powerful balls, so if you're confident, I recommend giving it a try.

    I used the FL85G.

This is an Inner Fiber racket made with Izanas.

It has decent bounce, even for an Inner Fiber racket, and the ball flies out better than I expected.

The feel of the ball resonates well in the hand, almost the same as a five-ply paulownia wood racket.

Compared to the ZX Gear F, which is in the same category, this racket feels more focused on contact than spin.

Thanks to its 6.0mm thickness, it doesn't flex too much, providing a high level of stability when contacting and blocking the ball.

That said, it's not difficult to apply spin, and the exquisite balance is addictive.

The grip is slightly thicker than Inner Force rackets, but there were some small differences that made it difficult to fit.

The diagonally cut part at the base of the grip where the thumb rests is shorter than on Butterfly rackets, which tends to result in a slightly deeper grip.

This can cause the surface to crumble, so I had to sand the grip for the first time. Please keep this in mind.

If the grip fits your hand, this racket is a better choice than buying an inner carbon one.
Please come and try it out in store.

I reused the 2.1mm rubber on my forehand. It weighed about 45g after cutting.

I previously used this rubber with a softer inner rubber, but the ball didn't travel as far as I expected, so I gave up on it.

This time, I used it again with the outer rubber, and it felt incomparably better than before.

To hit good shots with the 05, you need to make the ball dig in more than with the 64 or 80.

Because the sheet is harder, the ball spins high when it reaches the sponge, with a high trajectory, penetrating deep into the opponent's court.

Perhaps the stronger instantaneous impact to match the outer rubber paid off, or perhaps the harder racket improves the digging, but it's suddenly become much easier to use.

Another advantage is that it produces high-swinging shots with slightly less force than German-style rubbers. It's no wonder it's called an auto-style rubber.
