It's a cut above the rest of the Hurricane lineup. You can really feel why it's good enough for Ma Long to use. What impressed me most when hitting with it was the spin and the destructive power. The serve gets an incredible amount of spin

I switched from a speed-oriented tension rubber myself, so this is my first tacky rubber and I'm not sure how useful my review will be, but here goes.
Pushes, chiquitas, chops, loop drives, flat drives, and the hook flick that's unique to tacky rubber. The amount of spin is insane... especially with a drive hit at full power with heavy brushing — if you don't press it down hard, it won't even land on the table, that's how much spin there is. On the other hand, if you mix in a flat, non-brushed knuckle drive, your opponent can't read it at all.
In topspin rallies, taking advantage of the low-bounce characteristic, you can hit an insanely curving curve drive!
With pushes and such you do pick up the opponent's spin, but since you have the ability to spin it right back, it's not a problem at all.
Even though it's said not to bounce much, when you hit with full power, or swing through on a counter, the power is incredible — the speed goes crazy, there's spin too, and it blows right through.
Because it's hard and strongly tacky, you always have to brush the ball, which makes it tricky to handle, but once you can use it properly, it's definitely the strongest rubber out there!

I put it on my forehand.
The spin performance is a step up from my previous tacky rubber.
Curve drives get plenty of spin too, and the speed is decent as well.
It still has power at mid-distance, so you can out-hit your opponent in rallies too.
However, be aware that it's easily affected by the opponent's spin.

This rubber is highly recommended for intermediate-plus players with power, or choppers who are good with drives.
Drive players without power can't use itDrive: gets a ton of spin. Very stable and easy to use on loops.
Push: bites a lot. If you're not used to tacky rubber, it won't bounce much, so get used to it gradually
Serve: very biting spin. Way too easy to get service aces with.
Watch out for the downside
It's heavy, so swinging it is tiring,

With Hurricane, the finer techniques become easier. You get more variety in your technique — extremely short stops, deep, vicious pushes that dig into the opponent's court, knuckle blocks, sinking drives, and so on.
Also, because the sponge is so strong, the power of your counter-drives ends up exceeding the power of the opponent's drive, so the ball drives straight into their court. This is something only Hurricane can do.As for compatible blades, I think a hard special-material or pure wood top sheet, outer special-material, or 7-ply blades would suit it well. Pairing it with a balanced-type blade like the Korbel should increase stability.
As for playing style, I think it suits players who use two-handed counter-attacking table tennis, or a strategy of putting an unusual rubber on the backhand to send over nasty balls.

I use the DHS 40-degree version, and it's no exaggeration to call it a top-tier rubber. It really tests whether you have the physical strength of a Chinese pro player.
