    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Praised for exceptional spin and control performance, though limited rebound poses challenges when transitioning from tension rubbers. Recognized as a versatile rubber suitable for beginners to advanced players, particularly excelling in close-range techniques and looping drives.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Outstanding spin performance enabling easy lower-ball attacks and loop drives
    • Excellent stability in close-range techniques (stop, push strokes)
    • Strong adhesion provides excellent ball grip and precise control
    • Requires adjustment in stroke technique compared to tension rubbers
    • Pairing with elastic rackets recommended due to low rebound characteristics
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveNearly perfect performance. Serves spin sharply and short, while push strokes offer exceptional stability and sharpness. Counter-attacks and lower-ball drives deliver powerful shots, with the stickiness neutralizing opponent's spin.
▽ CriticalBalls go into the net when using tension-rubber techniques due to lack of rebound. Beginners find it difficult and extracting the rubber's true potential is challenging. It does not tolerate lazy or careless strokes, constantly demanding solid, committed shots.

Takashi (Experience: 11〜20 years) A rubber that doesn't bounce much Verified Purchase

      Reviews by user

I feel like it's not as tacky as I expected.
I used it in a local tournament, and since it doesn't bounce much, if you back off the table you end up netting the ball. Drives are fine, but I didn't get much spin out of it. So after driving, I couldn't produce enough spin to keep the opponent from returning it. You do get some tricky, unpredictable balls out of it though. Sometimes the opponent just returns it normally and nets it. It'll take time to get used to, but I'll keep using it a bit longer and see what its strengths are.

This was my first tacky rubber, but I was able to use it without much of a strange feeling.
I think it works well for a wide range of players, from someone making their tacky-rubber debut all the way up to advanced players.

Put it on my forehand and gave it a light test hit. I'm on the thin side and was worried whether I could hit with it, but surprisingly it was stable and I could hit every kind of shot. The feel was soft, and the sensation of generating your own spin — something you don't get with tension rubber — was really good. Once you get used to it and hit properly, it seems like you could get fast drives too. Serves have good spin. Stops don't pop up and bounce a couple times low on the opponent's side. It'll come down to preference, but I like this rubber.

Yori (Experience: 2〜3 years) Makes your play more stable

      Reviews by user

The tackiness doesn't feel all that strong, but compared to a regular inverted rubber, you can definitely tell it grips the ball better.
Thanks to that, it puts a lot of spin on the ball.
It doesn't bounce all that much, so you can put full power into your serve spin, and the short game is easy to play too.
The drive gets plenty of spin as well.
And the drive draws that arc unique to Hurricane rubbers, which opponents really hate.
I think the only real downside is that it's a bit heavy.

On my forehand! My first tacky rubber in over 10 years! If I hit it the way I normally hit with tension rubber, the ball drops like crazy.
Drives land easily though! When I drive a push that barely clears the table, I usually end up going long, but with this it holds in nicely!
Blocks don't fly too far either, which is great! On the flip side, if you don't hit softer drives back properly, they'll drop, so you can't slack off, lol
Compared to tension rubber, the ball is slower! My smashes end up feeling weak, lol lol

      Reviews by user

In terms of spin, it falls slightly short of other tacky rubbers, but the speed and ease of control were better than before. I used it on my backhand, and it was especially easy to use for the short game and drives - it holds up fine for three or four months, so I think it's a pretty good rubber.

Front offensive and defensive type (Experience: Less than a year) A flawless masterpiece

      Reviews by user

Everything about this is perfect. I have zero complaints.
First, my serves are super sharp and I can keep them short.
The short game is incredibly stable too, especially the low height, sharpness, and stability of my pushes - it's next level.
I like setting up rallies where I push and get the opponent to hit first, so this is a huge help.
Hitting against backspin goes in whether I take it early with a hard hit or drop it in with a loop.
Counters have amazing power. Smashes turned out to be surprisingly good too. The tackiness neutralizes the opponent's spin,
and the ball comes out with an annoying knuckle-ish action.
That said, if I get pushed to the middle and have to hit from an awkward position, I net the ball a lot more.
Seems like you really have to move your feet properly to avoid that.
If you're new to tacky rubber and want to seriously train with it, I think this is a good one to train on.
If you're the type who just wants to dip a toe into tacky rubber, I'd recommend the Hurricane 8-80 instead.
