    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Praised for exceptional spin and control performance, though limited rebound poses challenges when transitioning from tension rubbers. Recognized as a versatile rubber suitable for beginners to advanced players, particularly excelling in close-range techniques and looping drives.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Outstanding spin performance enabling easy lower-ball attacks and loop drives
    • Excellent stability in close-range techniques (stop, push strokes)
    • Strong adhesion provides excellent ball grip and precise control
    • Requires adjustment in stroke technique compared to tension rubbers
    • Pairing with elastic rackets recommended due to low rebound characteristics
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveNearly perfect performance. Serves spin sharply and short, while push strokes offer exceptional stability and sharpness. Counter-attacks and lower-ball drives deliver powerful shots, with the stickiness neutralizing opponent's spin.
▽ CriticalBalls go into the net when using tension-rubber techniques due to lack of rebound. Beginners find it difficult and extracting the rubber's true potential is challenging. It does not tolerate lazy or careless strokes, constantly demanding solid, committed shots.

It wasn't as tacky as I expected, but it still puts a huge amount of spin on the ball.
On top of that, it has surprisingly good bounce, so it's easy to generate speed with, and I think it's easy to use overall.
That said, it's easily affected by the opponent's spin, so control is difficult.

fonda333 (Experience: 11〜20 years) Doesn't bounce much but has variation

      Reviews by user

Nittaku's Hurricane 3 was pretty good, so I tried this one thinking it would have a bit more bounce.

Compared to a regular Hurricane 3, this rubber is harder and releases the ball faster, so if you don't hit it firmly, it won't go in. There's less of a feeling that the rubber will bail you out if you hit it half-heartedly. If you don't hit it properly, it basically becomes a rubber that's only good for serves.

On the other hand, when you hit hard, you can feel the tacky rubber backing you up, and you can land satisfying shots even from a somewhat awkward position, but while the speed is decent, the trajectory becomes a clean, predictable ball, and it seems easy for opponents to block. If anything, a regular Hurricane 3 doesn't produce as clean a ball when you hit it, but that gives it a unique quality, and more often than not opponents actually had a harder time stopping it.

Still, because it's harder, smashes and volleys are easier to pull off than with the Hurricane 3. When you just make normal contact it doesn't bounce much, but if you really hit it, you get plenty of speed.

These days, tension rubbers have become the norm, and there are a lot of rubbers where the ball flies unusually far even without a particularly good swing. This one doesn't carry like that, but it changes trajectory in a distinct way and still bounces when you smash it, so I think it throws opponents off quite a bit.

Also, if you keep using it, it stops bouncing well before the tackiness even wears off.

      under Because it comes pre-boosted,

It grips the ball really well for spin. Your serves get stronger.

But it's a bit heavy, so either pair it with a lighter blade or

make up for it with your own arm strength. It's heavier than anything else out there for comparison,

but since it already comes pre-treated on the base, it still has decent bounce and is easy to use. It's still hard as ever,

but it's a shame that it gradually stops bouncing over time.

If you're used to Chinese rubbers, why not try this as a step up?

      The spin is amazing.

The speed still has a ways to go, though.

      Yakinori Compared to Tenkyoku NEO2

      Reviews by user

I'll compare Hurricane (hereafter "Hurricane") and Skyline (hereafter "Skyline").

      Serve: Overall, Skyline > Hurricane
Amount of spin: Hurricane > Skyline
      Handling: Hurricane > Skyline
Ease of faking: Skyline > Hurricane
Hurricane makes it hard to hit a fast long serve, so it's difficult to mix long and short for fakes.

      Receive: Overall, Skyline > Hurricane
      Push/stop: Hurricane > Skyline
      Flick: Skyline > Hurricane
Skyline releases the ball faster, but Hurricane has better spin.
Hurricane is definitely better suited for putting heavy cut on the ball.

      Drive: Overall, Skyline > Hurricane
Skyline outperformed Hurricane here, but honestly this probably comes down to personal feel.
For players who score with counters and blocks, Skyline seems better; for players who break the opponent down on the 3rd/4th ball and finish them off next, Hurricane seems better.

      Chop: Overall, Hurricane > Skyline
With Hurricane, the ball stays low and the difference in spin is very large, while your form is hard to read.
Since it doesn't fly too much, handling stops when the ball comes back short is easy. Compared to Hurricane, Skyline has similar spin but is harder to keep under control.

The kind of player I'd recommend Hurricane to is someone who likes a hard hitting feel and scores points with loop drives!

Chai (Experience: 11〜20 years) Too much spin

      Reviews by user

It just grips the ball like crazy. Once you get a little used to it, you can rack up points with service aces (lol)
However, for drives, unless you use a different swing than you would with high-tension rubbers like Tenergy, the ball won't fly at all.
The topsheet is also hard, so I think people used to soft topsheets need to be careful.
