The Timo Boll ALC is the blade of choice for the European Triple Champion, Timo Boll. Timo working with Butterfly’s technicians, helped design his new blade which offers a touch more speed than his previous model but still allows for the production of the heavy topspin strokes Timo is known for.

Using his new blade along with Butterfly’s new Tenergy rubbers, Timo successfully defended all three of his Titles at the 2008 European Championships. Timo plays fair and wins and so can you. The Timo Boll ALC offers the maximum blend of speed, heavy spin, and Control.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
This racket receives overwhelming support from advanced players as a high-performance option. It excellently combines the speed of outer carbon with rotational control, showing particularly strong compatibility with hard tension rubbers. However, beginners find it difficult to control, and most reviews emphasize that adaptation time is essential.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Exceptional balance of speed and spin performance
    • Best compatibility with hard tension-type rubbers
    • Recommended for intermediate to advanced players
    • Versatile for all techniques including quick attacks
    • Fast ball release requires control adjustment time
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveA rubber that can do everything from start to finish, with excellent speed, spin, and control. Once accustomed to it, players can execute virtually any shot. The compatibility with tension rubbers like Tenergy is exceptional.
▽ CriticalPlayers without solid fundamentals will struggle with lack of power, producing flat shots. The fast ball release typical of outer carbon means beginners cannot control the ball before it leaves. Adaptation time is a prerequisite for this racket.

The Timo Boll has great control and speed. It feels like it works with pretty much any rubber. I especially think spin-oriented tension rubbers and tacky rubbers suit it well.

Kyogawa (Experience: 11〜20 years) Can handle any shot

      Player reviews

At first I thought short pips rubber wouldn't suit me. But once I actually tried it out, the pace is fast and smashes hit with a lot of power — awesome. Topspin drives are pretty easy to pull off too.

Higita (Experience: 6〜10 years) Super amazing. Timo Boll

      Player reviews

There are a lot of arylate carbon blades out there, but this one is the best. I used the Viscaria before, and I think this blade is especially good at control. I think Tenergy pairs with it best, especially the 05. The power on your shots is high too.

Shokumaru (Experience: 6〜10 years) A flawless all-round racket!!

      Player reviews

As expected of a blade Boll himself has used for years
      the performance is fantastic.
Play aggressively and you get more than enough speed, play defensively and the stability is outstanding!! The feel is a little hard, but nothing major.
It's a bit pricey, but pair it with Tenergy 05 and you get top-notch spin and speed together.
Either way, it's a really great blade.

Yutchi @ cut No weaknesses in this blade

      Player reviews

There's not a single technique that's hard to pull off with this. Butterfly blades tend to be aimed at advanced players but still easy for intermediates to use, and this one is especially easy to use, so I'd recommend it to everyone!

Give up not force (Experience: 4〜5 years) Easy to handle

      Player reviews

Comparing the Innerforce Layer ZLC and the Timo Boll ALC, I personally find the Timo Boll easier to handle.
It's easy to use overall so I'd recommend it.

      New (Experience: 4〜5 years)

      Player reviews

It's more stable than the ZLC, and topspin drives go in whether you're close to the table or further back. Putting a tacky rubber on my forehand bumps up the spin quality even more.
