Most players are looking for that rubber that fits them just right. Nittaku has introduced the Fastarc series with a variety to choose from. The C-1 comes into the series softer than G-1 and P-1 but a bit harder than S-1 for more speed while still maintaining a high degree of control. Slower and controllable in the short game, good placement and pace on medium shots, and power on solid shots.

    Customer Reviews SummaryAI Summary
Highly rated as a stability-focused rubber suitable for beginners to intermediate players. Backhand usage is particularly recommended, offering excellent ball control and spin despite its soft sponge. Some advanced players note a lack of speed and power for competitive play.
    ■ Frequently Mentioned Points
    • Excellent stability and ease of use on backhand
    • Easy to apply spin with good short-range technique
    • Soft sponge ideal for beginners but lower maximum performance
    • Long durability and good rubber longevity
    • Pairing with Fastarc G1 on forehand is recommended
    ■ Representative Voices
▲ PositiveDespite being a lightweight German rubber, it has sufficient bounce. The soft sponge provides excellent grip for precise shot placement, making it an all-around excellent rubber.
▽ CriticalSlightly slow with moderate spin. Lacks the power desired by advanced players seeking maximum speed.

This is a rubber I can recommend to everyone, from beginners to advanced players!
It's really easy to use, and it supports you all the way from learning the basics to practicing high-level techniques. I'd recommend it for the backhand.

Kappa who respects Takayuki Niwa (Experience: 2〜3 years) All-round

      Reviews by user

Here are my impressions after using it in a match.
First, every technique holds up at a high level, so I didn't make any easy mistakes.
I use it on my backhand, and even when my impact is weak, the grip is so strong that the ball still clears the net properly
and lands deep on the table.

I respect the Niwa Takanori (Experience: 2〜3 years)

      Reviews by user

Honestly I didn't expect much, but once I actually used it, my backhand drives were incredibly stable — they landed to the point where it was almost funny.
I used it on my backhand, but it felt good on the forehand too.
On top of that, this rubber is overwhelmingly lighter than other rubbers around the ¥6,000 price range, so it's easy to swing all the way through.

Cucumber (Experience: 2〜3 years) Easy to use

I use it for chopping. Control and spin are both great! I don't lose out even in mid-distance topspin rallies! Give it a try once!

hi-lite (Experience: 11〜20 years) Glad I chose this

      Reviews by user

I use this on my B-side (backhand).
Receiving, blocking, driving, rallying — all of it is easy.
Stability is really high, and especially in fast rallies, it became much easier to just brush the ball lightly and aim for a specific course.
That said, it's not weak on hard hits either — you can really grip the ball and fire off a sharp, arcing drive too.
If you play mostly close to the table or mid-distance and can't decide what to put on your backhand, definitely give this a try!

Ribbets (Experience: 4〜5 years) Feels like a bouncy 80

      Reviews by user

No quirks, easy to use. It also lasts a fairly long time and performs well enough, so great value for money ◎
The good thing about C1 is that there's really no technique it struggles with. For drives, you can hit with a grabbing motion or brush the ball, either works. It has good bounce, so smashes and blocks are good too. Serve and receive feel nice too, thanks to the firmer topsheet. I'd recommend it for the backhand at any level. Though if you back off the table, you might find the distance lacking...

And out (Experience: 2〜3 years) Recommended for middle schoolers

      Reviews by user

This rubber is recommended for users who find Fastarc G-1 too hard, or for less powerful elementary and junior high schoolers.
Think of it as a softer version of Fastarc G-1.
It's very well-balanced with no quirks, so it's a good rubber to improve with.
The ball feels a little lighter, though, so if that bothers you, try G-1 instead.
