I test-hit the Nittaku version of NEO3 on my backhand.
Compared to typical tacky rubbers, the sponge is soft and easy to use, but the sheet is hard, so you need a certain amount of impact.On the backhand, if you're conscious of making contact near the tip of the blade, it's easy to add both power and variation. Awkward, defensive connecting shots tend to come out flat and easy to attack, so I felt you need the skill to work in spin variation yourself.
Pushes, loops, and blocks are, needless to say, weapons that lead to points.
Since it doesn't automatically give you depth, spin, or speed, you have to add the variation yourself, which made me think it's good to always stay conscious of producing high-quality balls.I liked it enough that I plan to keep using it for a while. It's a good rubber.

I've also used Turbo Orange, but the ball felt like it left the rubber too quickly, so I went back to NEO3.
I feel NEO3 has the best balance between sheet and sponge.
I generate speed through impact, and I'm conscious of varying the length on my loops.
Whether hitting flat or brushing the ball, it's easier to vary the pace with this than with other tacky or tacky-tension rubbers.
If you get nervous and hit it half-heartedly, the ball drops, so being able to tell yourself "just commit fully to every impact" is also a personal advantage.Even tension-rubber users who tend to overshoot a lot in matches might want to give this a try.

First off, my initial impression was that if your impact is weak, the ball really doesn't fly at all
Well, I'd recommend buying it with your blade compatibility in mind

The tackiness felt pretty strong. Also, drives with that spin variation unique to tacky rubbers —
when I asked my opponent, they said "these are hard to read lol"
Loops get insanely heavy spin, and even a connecting loop can score points, so it's pretty exhilarating!

I'm a chopper using an attacking blade, with this on the forehand and Grass D.TecS GS Acid Green on the backhand
Switching over from Pro III Turbo Blue and Turbo Orange
It's soft in a way you wouldn't expect from a tacky rubber
I'd heard it was a bouncy tacky rubber, but it felt more like they toned down the tackiness to boost the bounce
The arc is high, and the ball settled onto the table nicely
Against backspin, the Turbo series felt like it made the ball travel faster (probably because its harder sponge gives it more power)
Short game / Maybe because the sponge is soft, flicks tended to overshoot a lot, and it's hard to do quick blocks over the table
Stops and the like weren't especially different
Backhand / Since it's soft, it works fine on the backhand too
Chopping / Compared to the Turbo series, the NEO3 was overwhelmingly easier to use
Even though it's an attacking blade, it still holds shots down well
The sound is the same on knuckle chops and spinny chops, so it's easy to create variation, and opponents missed a lot
Summary
- I'd recommend a special-material blade (outer-carbon, ALC, acoustic carbon, etc.)
- Good for people without much power who want to use a tacky rubber
- Good for people who want tacky rubber on the backhand too
- Ideal for choppers

I'm a chopper using Grass D.TecS GS Acid Green on the backhand, switching over from Pro III Turbo Blue
First impression
Really light and soft (46 grams after cutting)
It felt soft to the touch, and when I actually hit with it, it really was soft
I'd heard rumors that it has good speed, but it felt more like they toned down the tackiness to boost the bounce
Still, it doesn't compare to a tension rubber
The amount of spin is plenty good too
Against backspin, though, the ball traveled faster with Turbo Blue
On blocks too, Turbo Blue didn't lose out to the opponent's power as much
Probably because the sponge is soft
I'd heard the short game would be easy since it doesn't fly, but personally I felt it flew too much, so it was hard to control
Turbo Blue is probably easier to flick because its sponge is harder
I also tried swinging with it on the backhand, and it worked surprisingly well. It felt like just the right softness for the backhand
Chopping
Overwhelmingly easier than Turbo Blue, and despite being an attacking blade, it still holds shots down well
It also flies well enough in topspin rallies
Summary
I felt it worked better on the backhand than the forehand
Good for choppers, people with weak impact who want to use a tacky rubber, and backhand tacky setupsAll Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Bought the blue sponge version
The amount of spin is shocking
After it bounces on the opponent's side, it just plummets straight down toward the floor (lol)
Serves are also easy to do, so I'd recommend it to beginners too, and everyone knows it's the champion rubber that a lot of pro players use.
The short game in particular is godly

I use the DHS 39-degree max thickness.
It's pre-tensioned, but even so it doesn't bounce or produce speed compared to a normal tension rubber. That said, if you really commit to loops and serves, the spin is intense, and it was easy to win points with in matches. Also, the amount of spin on drives varies a lot, so I think if you can master it, it might actually be easier to win with than a tension rubber.
If you're in an environment where you can practice a lot, I think it's worth trying at least once. It's cheap too.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Hard
