The spin I got on serves, pushes, drives, and counters was like nothing I'd seen before.
Even without much speed, the drive's spin alone could blow the opponent's block off course. It's on the bouncier side for a tacky rubber, so counters felt really satisfying. Though it still can't match tension rubber.A note:
There was a slight difference between the DHS Neo3 and the Nittaku Neo3. The Nittaku version felt softer and lighter. So if you want to put Hurricane on your backhand like Ma Long does, I'd suggest starting with the Nittaku Neo3.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Pushes, serves, stops, drives - the spin is seriously insane! There isn't much tackiness, but it still generates speed while getting spin on top of that. I think it also suits people who want to win points off their serve. Short-game techniques like chiquita and flicks are easy to pull off too.

Within the Hurricane lineup, this one falls into the lightly-tacky category, with a bit less tack than the others.
But even being lightly tacky, the spin is still tremendous - serves, pushes, and stops all
bite incredibly hard. It's great for players who specialize in the short game, and the drive spins hard too, so
I can also recommend it to drive players.
Personally I felt the tackiness was a little lacking, so I put a TSP tack-protection sheet over it.
That lets me dial in just the right amount of tack myself.
You can really feel that Chinese-rubber-only spin, so definitely give it a try.

Compared to Pro 3 Turbo Orange, Neo3 wins out in ball speed and ease of use! Turbo Orange has the edge in spin, but Neo3 has a lightly tacky sheet, so it's easier to play counters with. It's also lighter than a traditional Hurricane, which makes it easier to use! I'd recommend pairing it with a 5-ply pure wood blade that has some decent bounce built in!

A friend of mine bought this, so I borrowed it and gave it a test hit.
I once got to try a different Hurricane rubber from a friend - forgot the name - and it barely bounced at all.
But Neo3 actually bounces, and it's relatively easy to control too.
I thought speed would be hard to get out of it, but I feel like that's something you can work around with enough skill.
It gets plenty of spin too, and I think it's a great rubber! If you're someone thinking "Hurricanes don't bounce, so I'm not buying Neo3," I think you'll be totally fine with this one!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Devil (Experience: ６〜１０ years) Now the standard tacky rubber

Right when the switch happened from celluloid balls to plastic balls, I was looking for a rubber that would let me hit with that old celluloid feel, and I ended up with a tacky rubber.
Tacky rubbers don't work at all if you hit them the same way as a normal tension rubber, so it took time to correct my form.
But above all, this amount of spin, and the quirkiness unique to tacky rubbers, is amazing.
Japanese-made tacky rubbers aren't all that quirky and are easy to handle, but Chinese-made tacky rubbers have massive quirks.
That said, anyone who can fully harness those quirks is guaranteed to become seriously strong.
What worked well for me was putting spin on shots - drives, short-game techniques, serves, and counters.
I was able to produce exactly the spin I wanted, and sometimes even more spin than I expected.
That said, blocking and the weight are definitely things that bother me.
If you can use those aspects well, I think this becomes the ultimate rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Since it's a tacky rubber, it's only natural that it puts a lot of spin on the ball, so I think you can send your opponent some really nasty shots.
Serves also don't fly much, so you can really put spin on them.
As for speed, since it doesn't fly much, it's harder to generate, but I think players with a full swing-through or a fast swing speed can make up for it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
