TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

Even though it's been 5 or 6 years since it launched, it's amazing that it still hasn't fallen behind other products.
You can tell from the fact that pretty much every famous top player still uses it.As for the performance, the spin is really the standout point.
The spin power rivals even tacky rubber.
That said, unlike tacky rubber, the ball itself comes out clean.The speed is about average for a tension rubber.
That said, I think it might be a bit hard for beginners.
The price is also a bit high.Still, it definitely has the performance that gets intermediate players and top players alike all using it.
I don't know how it'll fare now that plastic balls are the standard, but it's one of the rubbers that will go down in table tennis history.All Speed Spin Control

KOG Forehand switched from 05 thick to 05 extra-thick

As the title says, I switched to the max-thickness version.
I played maybe 1-2 times a week, but after using it for about six months, the grip started feeling weak, so I replaced it.
A brand new sheet really is completely different. Replacing it was the right call.
That said, it's expensive..... but I don't want to risk trying other rubbers and having it not work out.
It looks like the forehand side of this blade is going to settle on 05 max-thickness for a while.
When swapping the rubber, it took me a while to throw away the trimmed-off scraps
(I have no use for them, but it feels like such a waste)All Speed Spin Control

Spin just catches on its own!
As for speed, if you've got a reasonable amount of strength, you can hit great shots.
It really shows why it's the choice of top players around the world!

A spin level I've never felt before, well balanced with speed —

You can't get this feeling from any other rubber.
Above all, the topsheet's grip on the ball is outstanding, so you can put fierce spin on the ball, easily drawing mistakes out of your opponent on serves and pushes.
On top of that, you can generate plenty of speed too, making it a rubber with no real weaknesses.All Speed Spin Control

KOG As for serves

For serves, it doesn't bounce as much as Tenergy 64 on my backhand and it takes spin well, so it's easy to use.
I felt like 64 tends to produce serves that go too long.
This is my first time pairing it with the Zhang Jike ALC, so I want to keep comparing from here.
