TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

It's excellent in both spin and speed.
The feel is firm, so it takes some getting used to. People told me my shots felt heavy even when I wasn't doing anything special.

On top of getting insane amounts of spin, it also produces quite a lot of speed.
With other rubbers you have to hit in a way that specifically generates spin, but with Tenergy, spin gets put on the ball no matter how you hit it, which I think is pretty amazing.

Above all, the amount of spin is amazing, but what's even more amazing, I think, is that it puts on fierce spin all on its own.
Normally you need a proper full swing to generate spin, but with Tenergy, even a light touch puts on quite a lot of spin.
That said, the 05 is a bit on the firm side, so control is difficult.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

The amount of spin is insane.
Unlike normal rubbers, spin just comes on automatically.
The control isn't great - I think it'll be fine once you get used to it.

I currently have Tenergy 05 on both sides,
and on the forehand, it's easy to put spin on drives -
even a light hit puts quite a lot of spin on the ball!
On the backhand, chiquita and backhand drives go in easily, so it's a really great rubber!All Speed Spin Control
