TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

I think this is a rubber that's supported by a wide range of players, from top pros down to amateurs.
Among all of them, I'd say its spin amount is the best of any tension rubber out there.
The sheet and sponge grip the ball really well, and it also has a lot of catapult power, so I think you can play consistently no matter the technique.
I see a lot of reviews saying chops are difficult with it, but I don't feel that at all.
Using that grip on the ball, you get chops that bite and stay low.Of all the rubbers out there, this one gets mixed opinions about who should use it, but since even a light touch sends the ball flying off with strong spin on its own, I don't think players who haven't learned how to generate their own spin yet, but who want to get seriously strong, should jump straight into using it.
If you understand your own skill level and your own playing style, though, I think you can make great use of it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Generates tons of spin - it's pricey, but a rubber worth spending the money on! It's one of the better ones in the Tenergy line, worth buying even if it costs you, and using it gets you results, so definitely give it a try!

This is the first tension rubber I've ever used, and it really bounces a lot.
Until I got used to it I had a lot of overshoot mistakes, but once I adjusted, even someone without much power like me could rally from mid-distance.That said, honestly, at my low level I don't think it needs to be Tenergy.
Since I don't have much power, I'm probably not getting anywhere near its full performance.More advanced players have told me a softer rubber would suit me better.
They said even within the Tenergy line, something like FX would be easier to use.I stretched a bit and bought Tenergy, but it seems like it's still not a rubber I can really handle.
I'll give it another try once I've improved a bit more!

This is one of the Tenergy rubbers that generates a lot of spin.
I'd recommend it more for the forehand side. Players like Timo Boll, Xu Xin, and Matsudaira Kenta use it.
But the lifespan is still short.

I used red thick rubber on my forehand. Maybe because I switched from tacky rubber, serving was a bit tricky. Chops bite really well. Personally I felt the bounce was a bit weak. Topspin drives go in easily and there's a good amount of speed. It's easily affected by incoming spin. I tried chiquita too but it curved way more than I expected, haha.

I think this is the pinnacle of tension rubbers. No wonder so many different players use it. Speed comes out with just a light tap, and as for spin, well... lol, it gives you performance on a level that makes you wonder if someone snuck some speed glue on it. Just for two weeks, though.
The lifespan is ridiculously short, and it's expensive. Aside from that, it's the best rubber out there. I'd really like everyone to try it at least once.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I bought this on the shop staff's recommendation about a year after I started playing. I found out afterward that it's supposed to be for advanced players, but it works totally fine for beginners too! Once you get used to it, both your drives and serves bite really well. I sometimes throw in odd playing styles like chops and sidespin, and it's easy to do with this rubber! Basically, it can do anything!
