  Ryu-chan (Experience: ２〜３ years) Torn between 05 and 80

  

  I'm thinking about changing my forehand rubber right now — the 05 is all about spin, while the 80 has a good balance of speed and spin. My current style is to attack with spin and go for points that way, but I'd also like to attack with speed, so I want to weigh everyone's opinions together with my own thinking before I decide. Please, please let me know what you think.

  今、フォアを変えようと、思っているのですが、05は回転、80は、スピードと、回転がバランスが良い。でも、今の自分は回転で攻めて、点を取りに行くスタイルでし、でもスピードでも、攻めたいのですが、皆さんの意見と、自分の考えを合わせて決めたいので、ぜひぜひ意見お願いします。

  katsuo000 (Experience: More than ２０ years) Great balance of spin and speed!

  

  I use it on both forehand and backhand.
  You get the kind of bounce and spin you'd expect from the old speed-glue days. A drive where you really sink the ball in produces a more powerful, higher-spin ball than one where you just brush it.
  Since topspin comes on almost automatically, it definitely gives you a sense of security in rallies and puts pressure on your opponent. That said, the shots tend to look similar to each other, and the higher the level of play, the more your counters and shot power get used against you, so I felt you need skill beyond that to really benefit from it.
  I get the impression it suits the backhand more than the forehand — it's a rubber that makes up for a lack of backhand rallying power with automatic topspin, boosting both power and consistency. The sticking point is, as always, the price.

  フォアバック両面で使用。
  有機溶剤を使った時のような弾みと回転量が得られます。擦りながらのドライブよりも食い込ませたドライブの方が威力や回転量に優れたボールが繰り出せます。
  自動で上回転もかかるので、やはりラリーの時の安心感やプレッシャーは与えられると思います。しかし、球質も類似になりやすく、レベルが上がれば上がるほどカウンターやボールの威力を利用されやすくなるのでそれを上回る技術が必要になると感じました。
  フォア面よりはバック面にあう印象で、バックハンドのラリー力不足を自動上回転機能で威力と安定感を上げてくれるラバーです。やはりネックは値段でしょう。
  素晴らしいラバーです。

  Sughi (Experience: More than ２０ years) Back in the plastic-ball era, a hard unit was fine.

  

  If you're using a blade with a hard top ply, you need to choose your rubber carefully, or an ABS plastic ball will fly straight into the table after contact instead of clearing the net.
  If you have a blade as soft as the Timo Boll ZLF, I think you can get away with a 93g-class setup.

  Lately it seems like the soft units are what's in circulation and the hard units are going to sponsored players, so I couldn't get my hands on one and practiced with Evolution MX-P instead — but when you really sink the ball in, Tenergy 05 puts more spin on it.

  In particular, on a high-toss serve the ball flies out only after the spin has fully been imparted, which makes it easy to control the distance.
  If you sink the ball in too much, German-made rubbers have a harder time fully imparting spin.
  If you can generate enough impact and still want to use Tenergy, I'd say the FX is a safe choice; if that feels lacking, switching up to the 80 or 05 should work fine.

  Tenergy 05 is just a bouncy rubber unless you can deform the topsheet enough to bite into the sponge.
  If you can't generate much impact, be aware that the 05 FX or a German-made spin tension rubber will be more forgiving.
  The hard units can handle ABS balls like the Nittaku plastic ball, but I wish they'd release a hard version of the topsheet or sponge.

  上板の硬いラケット使用している場合はラバーをしっかりと選別しないとABSプラボールを打球後にネット越えずにボールが台へ直行します。
  ティモボルZLFくらい柔らかいラケットなら93g台は利用できると思います。

  最近は柔らかい個体が出回って硬い個体が選手にいっているようで購入できなかった為、Evolution MX−Pで練習していましたが、深く食い込ませるとテナジー05の方が回転量が上です。

  特に投げ上げサービスは回転をかけきってから飛んでいくので、飛距離コントロールが容易。
  食い込ませすぎるとドイツ系は回転をかけきるのが難しいです。
  テナジー使いたい一定以上のインパクトができる方はFX、物足りなさが感じたら80や05に乗り換えていけば無難だと思います。

  テナジー05はスポンジまで食い込むほどシートを変形させられなければ、ただの弾むラバーです。
  インパクトができない方は05FXかドイツ系スピンテンションの方が寛容ですので注意です。
  硬い個体は、ニッタクプラボール等のABSに対応出来ますが、シートもしくはスポンジのハードタイプが出て欲しい。

  solid, reliable spin,
  so I get why so many people use it. It's also a bit pricey, but it delivers results that match the cost. That said, the spin is so extreme that I think you need at least one to two weeks of use before you get used to it.
  But once you're used to it, it's really easy to use,
  and it was a very satisfying rubber overall.

  このラバーは安定したドライブ、
  しっかりかかる回転、などの点で
  とても長けていて使用者が多いのも理解出来ます。また、値段も少々張りますが、その分に見合った効果を発揮しました。しかし、回転が異常にかかるので慣れるまで使い始めて最低1〜2週間は必要だと思います。
  ただ、慣れるととても使いやすく、
  とても満足できるラバーでした。

  I guess the issue is the short lifespan?
  Other than that, you could call it the strongest rubber out there ^^
  It's a truly top-of-the-line piece of gear that grips the ball for incredible spin!

  Yugon (Experience: ６〜１０ years) Wonderful

  

  This was my Tenergy debut. My impression after using it: even a light hit already puts topspin on the ball, and if you really sink it in, you get a ton of spin. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who plays a spin-focused game.

  テナジーデビューしました。使った感想としては軽く打った時点でドライブがかかっており思いっきり食い込ますととても回転がかかります。回転重視で戦う方にすごくオススメです。
