TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

I wanted more spin on my backhand, so I switched from V15 Extra. The topsheet is a bit on the hard side, but it's stable and hits hard counters.

Drives are really easy to hit with this!
When you put spin on it, it really grips!
When you want to go for speed, it's really fast!
Serves bite well too!
I have it on my forehand,
but I think it'd be good on the backhand too!
The only minor downsides are the short lifespan and how easily it's affected by the opponent's spin!
But other than that, it's really great!
And it doesn't pick your blade

This rubber's track record speaks for itself — it's a massive hit that needs no introduction.
I hadn't hit with it much until now, so I wanted to write about what I felt using it.
First of all, above anything else, it produces a high arc.
It's the kind of arc that makes you genuinely believe people when they say the spin comes on by itself.
The feel on contact is that clear, classic Tenergy sensation — you can really feel yourself brushing the ball properly.
The speed felt like something you generate by putting spin on the ball. The faster your swing speed, the more you can draw out the rubber's potential and the better the ball you get.
And above all, what really struck me was its overall, all-around ability.
If you're just talking spin alone or speed alone, plenty of rubbers beat the 05, but in terms of overall balance, there may still be no rubber that surpasses it.
The price shot way up once it went to open pricing, but it makes sense that so many players keep using it despite the cost.
That said, because it's hard and sensitive to spin, I can't recommend it to beginners.
Also, because it grips the ball for spin so easily, I wouldn't recommend it to players who mainly use flat hits either. Honestly, it's not a rubber that's easy to hit flat with.

It really grips the ball for spin.
It's fast too.
I switched over from Rakza X, and even a light hit puts spin on the ball…
The downside is control.
The price is a sticking point, but it's the best rubber out there.

Spin Monster (Experience: １１〜２０ years) The undisputed king of table tennis rubbers

Since it came out, nothing has surpassed this rubber, and it's supported by everyone from hobby players to pros — you could call it the strongest rubber out there.
Drives that spin almost automatically, shots that trace a unique arc and land right on the table, serves that bite sharply — it does pick its user, but the benefits are immeasurable.
If I had to name a downside, it's that receives are heavily affected by spin, so unless you can read your opponent's spin and ball type and present the right racket angle, you won't get a stable receive.

I've tried a lot of rubbers, but none are better than Tenergy 05. The way the ball keeps extending after it lands on the opponent's side is on a different level compared to other rubbers. Smashes are also really fast with it. It's expensive, but I absolutely recommend it.

It's the best, but it's easily affected by your opponent's spin, so it's for advanced players. Spin, speed, control — all great! I think beginners would find it hard to handle.
