TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

Yeah, well, it's strong. Use it well and the spin amount beats even tacky rubber. The speed is faster than any other rubber I've compared it to. Consistency is high too, and it's easy to use for everything, from the short game to topspin rallies. Even someone whose backhand is usually shaky can start hitting it solidly. But if I had to name one downside... durability is really low.

A top-tier rubber that's also become a standard choice. As you probably know, within the Tenergy line - 05, 64, 80, 25 - you should really understand each one's characteristics before buying. If you like the 64, you might find the 05 a bit harder for blocking or flat hits. On the other hand, if you like generating your own spin, I think the 05 is great.

As expected, pairing it with the Timo Boll ALC is amazing, lol
Going from beginner to past-beginner and then suddenly jumping to an outer carbon blade took me a year to get used to, but honestly I think it was worth it.
This rubber definitely has incredible spin, but there's still one thing I find difficult -
against backspin balls, it really pops straight up. I'm currently using a flat-hit topspin as a backup shot, but this is the one part that's still tough with Tenergy 05. Guess I'll keep working at it until I get used to it ( ・∇・)//All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Back when us old guys were students, there was no rubber this expensive...
When you pick table tennis back up after a long break, you can't help wanting to try it out, lolOverall it's a good rubber, but there's a risk that if you rely on your equipment too much, you never build up your own technique.

Even without the feel of really "cutting" the ball, you get a good amount of spin.
It's unmatched among tension rubbers for spin amount.- Receive
A sharply spinning serve still takes some skill to handle,
but if the spin is around the same level as your own, you can return it without any problem.- Short game
Chiquita, flick, push, block - all of these are easy to execute,
and there's nothing about the play that leaves me unsatisfied.- Backhand
At first the angle felt off and I kept overshooting, but once I got used to it, it was totally fine.- Chop
This is easy to do normally too.- Mid-distance to away-from-the-table play
Being the go-to choice for top players, this is genuinely strong here.

The spin performance is just monstrous, lol

Brush the ball and you get insane spin
Sink it into the sponge and you get powerful spinAside from how fast it wears out, I really think this is a dream rubber.

This is my first time using it, and the first thing I noticed is how much spin it puts on the ball as it flies off. I've got max thickness on mine, and even my serves get insane spin. Every technique is easy to pull off, so I'm glad I tried it.
The downsides, though, are that it doesn't last long, and it's expensive. You won't regret using it, so definitely give it a try!!All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
