TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

This is the king of tension rubbers, known by everyone.
It has an insane amount of spin, more than enough speed and carry, and yet it's lighter than other manufacturers' flagship rubbers - performance with nothing to complain about.
But it ends up being wasted on beginners. The flip side of its high performance is that its negatives are strong too - without the skill to parry or ignore your opponent's spin, you'll keep losing points in the short game.
Put another way, for someone with solid fundamentals, it's incredibly powerful. In topspin rallies, you'll almost never lose out just because of a difference in rubber quality.
Whether you brush the ball or sink it into the sponge, the spin you get is tremendous.
Serves tend to bounce strongly and carry long, but it's powerful enough that you could even go for a long serve to drag your opponent straight into a rally. The serves themselves get insane spin.
Blocking is easy too, and stops kill the ball's speed remarkably well.I think a lot of people have already tried it at some point, but if you haven't, give it a shot. It's simply a rubber that helps you win.
Well, the lifespan and the price are the downsides,

I'd personally been using Tenergy 80 all along, but when I got to try a friend's Tenergy 05, I didn't hesitate to switch
I have it on a hard rosewood blade, and it draws a beautiful arc and lands cleanly

The Tenergy series is now loved by countless players regardless of whether they're pro or amateur
And among them, Tenergy 05 is probably the most popular of all
First and foremost, there's its spin performance
No matter where you hit from, it puts solid spin on the ball, which draws an arc and lands firmly in your opponent's court
That said, generating spin also means it's easily affected by your opponent's spin at the same time
You need the ability to handle your opponent's spin well on blocks, pushes, counters, and so on
Because of that, for beginners, or people using a tension rubber for the first time, this becomes a fairly difficult rubber to handle
That said, for someone who can absorb and make good use of their opponent's spin, I think it becomes a really great rubber.
It's a perfect rubber for people who want to generate their own spin, and people who want to put solid spin on the ball no matter the situation.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

I'm writing my impressions from trying this out on a friend's racket
Topspin drive: generates plenty of spin
Serve/push: it bounces a lot, so if you're not careful the ball flies off the table
but if you hit so the ball sinks into the sponge, you get a lot of spin
Block: genuinely easy to do. When the ball hits the rubber you can hit with confidence

The sponge hardness is rated 35 (45), but it felt very soft to me. The spin is, as expected, incredible, and the speed is fast too. The arc comes up nicely and it's stable, so I'd recommend it.

Just touch it and it goes in (lol)
You can attack on your own, and blocking and countering are easy too (I think?)
The short game is easy as well, and even if you're pushed back and hitting from farther away, as long as you hit with an arc it goes in easily
Stops can be put down dead on the table. Things like chiquita and flicks are also easy if you have a bit of technique
If you can't swing your backhand well, I think the 64, the 80, or something in the FX line would suit you better
