TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

I think this generates the most spin out of all the Tenergy rubbers. It's perfect for players who build their game around spin. That said, it is a bit hard.

The spin performance is top-class, and I feel like it made my serves one of the strongest on my team. Topspin drives are easy to hit too, and the amount of topspin is beyond complaint. I started using it in the second half of my first year of middle school, and honestly, it didn't feel like it was strictly for advanced players — more like intermediate to advanced. Also, just making contact makes the ball bounce a lot, so as far as control goes, you can't really use it well until you get used to it. I'd recommend it for the forehand, and a softer rubber for the backhand.

It feels hard when you hit it, but the ball seems to leave the rubber a bit slower than expected — this must be that 'ball-holding' feeling everyone talks about! It's a rubber where you can really feel what ball-holding means.
The spin is insane, and even a loop I meant as just a connecting shot apparently felt really nasty to my opponent.
It also produces quite a bit of speed, so I ended up with a lot more overshooting misses. But even a light hit still puts spin on the ball!

Just like everyone else says, the spin performance is amazing! With this rubber, it doesn't feel like the spin is only coming from the surface — it feels like the topsheet and Butterfly's unique Spring Sponge work together as one to generate the spin! Because of that, even when the surface gets a bit dirty, or on a humid day, it still puts plenty of spin on the ball! Also, if you hit it firmly, you get quite a bit of speed too — smash it hard and you get a nice crisp "pop" sound, brush it and the ball sinks right into the sponge, giving it a strangely unique feel (lol). Unfortunately, price increases have made it a very expensive rubber, but it's still one worth trying at least once ♪

I think this has by far the highest spin and control performance among the Tenergy line. On the other hand, though, I also think it has the hardest topsheet in the Tenergy lineup. So if you want spin and control, I'd say 05 is the one, but if you want a slightly softer feel, I'd recommend the FX version.

Compared to 64 or 80 it feels harder, but compared to German inverted rubbers like Fastarc it's actually on the softer side, and even a normal forehand hit puts a good amount of spin on the ball. Among tension rubbers, the spin performance is beyond complaint.
The feel is like all that condensed power bursts out on impact, and the speed is more than enough. You can hit satisfying, penetrating drives even from mid-distance to away from the table. That said, close to the table it might feel hard to handle at first, since it flies a lot and you'll keep overshooting until you get used to it.
It's expensive and the lifespan might be short, but once you fall for how good the performance is, it's a rubber you'll want to keep using forever.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

The spin was outstanding. There's this quirky feel that only 05 has. Once you get used to it, 05's unique grip on the ball seems to work in your favor and help with your technique. Also, since it has that well-known Tenergy auto-spin effect, adding your own spin on top of that lets you generate an enormous amount of spin. If you have even a bit of money to spare... why not give it a try?
