TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

seisei A bit tough for beginners…

Writing this from the perspective of a beginner (about a year of experience or less).
It's not an exaggeration to call this rubber the pinnacle of all rubbers, but just swinging makes the ball go in, so your form ends up a mess. That's why I'd recommend a rubber with good control for beginners first. Also, the value for money isn't great. Students might not be able to afford it. If you really want to use it, I'd recommend going with the FX series.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Needless to say, it's a top-tier rubber.
Spin is where it shines the most, and the balance of speed, control, and ball-holding is fantastic.
Personally, I feel Butterfly's Spring Sponge really does hold the ball well and makes shots go in reliably.
The downsides are, as always, the price and how quickly the rubber wears out. Table tennis players joking about how the price is just too high has become a running gag among us.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

The performance is higher than any other rubber. It also generates more spin than any other rubber!
However, its weakness is the short lifespan

In a word, it's the strongest rubber lol. Serves are easy to produce and get plenty of spin. The arc is also a bit lower than Fastarc G-1. If I had to name a weakness, it's that the lifespan is short. But there wasn't a single technique that felt hard to pull off, so please give it a try.

First off, the grip on the ball is amazing. You can use that grip to brush the ball, but if you sink the ball in and hit, the speed is incredible.
I think every rubber in the Tenergy series is fast, but I'd say 05 is about as fast as 64.You can use it on both forehand and backhand, but for the backhand I feel like it depends on the blade you pair it with. I think it works well with special-material inner blades or all-wood blades.

A heavy, springy rubber that's easily affected by incoming spin
Your topspin drives come out great, but the technique needed to get to the point of hitting a drive is difficult.
If you haven't developed the skill to handle incoming spin or keep the ball from bouncing off too much, your receives will fall apart. It's also hard and fairly heavy, so you need a certain amount of strength too.
Top players prove just how great this rubber is. But still, it's a rubber for intermediate to advanced players.
Beginners might actually improve faster using something like Sriver or Roundell...
