TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

If you want to compete on the world stage, this is probably the only rubber for it. It's top-tier in every respect. Including the price, of course.

Using it, what really stands out, as always, is the spin that's basically 05's signature trait. It does spin on its own, but only to a certain degree. I think it really shows its true potential in the hands of someone who can already put spin on the ball well with other rubbers too. Whether you sink the ball in or brush it, if you can hit it properly, the ball comes off drawing a beautiful arc and seems to stick to the table as it lands. It's definitely a forehand rubber. For the backhand, the FX version would be better. It keeps the spin going strong through rallies. If I had to name a downside, it's that it's heavily affected by incoming spin. Block it like you would a normal rubber and the ball flies off into the distance. The lifespan is on the longer side.

First off, the spin it generates is almost creepy good
Also, for counters, you can just add spin and send it right back — it's a godly rubber.

Tenergy... a name every pro has heard of.
The speed is decent, but the spin is really strong. It can't quite match ZETA, but I still think it's a really good rubber.
As for control, it takes about three weeks to get used to. A pro could probably handle it right away.
Being pretty hard, it really flies. Also, the lifespan is short. But there's no doubt it's a good rubber. Both serves and pushes have a lot of bite.

First off, just hitting forehand shots naturally puts topspin on the ball
Then when I tried a topspin drive, the arc and spin were flawless
Serves get plenty of spin too
Receiving is a bit tricky though
It's suited for advanced players

My first impression is that this rubber puts spin on the ball on its own no matter how awkward a position you hit from.
It's on the hard side and fairly heavy, but compared to other German spin/tension rubbers it's actually softer and lighter.
It has good speed, and topspin drives, smashes, blocks, and pushes are all easy to pull off. You can also put a lot of spin on your serves.
I think it's an amazing rubber that combines control, speed, and spin at a really high level.
If I had to point out a downside, it's sensitive to incoming spin, so I struggle a bit with returns.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
