TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

When you take a full swing, I think 05 beats 64 in both spin and speed on drives.

If you put it on your forehand, it's a really all-around rubber that can do just about anything. The spin is tremendous, the speed is so-so, but the power is more than enough.

It's been a while since this came out, but I still don't think there's another rubber that reproduces that automatic-spin feeling and the way it draws an arc quite like 05 does.
It's overly sensitive to the opponent's incoming spin, so personally it's not something I could really use in a match lol
The way it grips and generates spin without you even having to swing all the way through, and how well it flies, is something you just can't get elsewhere.
For a player who always takes the initiative and can make the ball their own, this will be the perfect partner. It's just expensive though... for the price of one sheet you could have plenty of other nice experiences instead... (lol) And if you put it on both sides, well...Thanks to German rubbers getting way too heavy and hard, Tenergy has ended up being talked about as if it's not that heavy or hard lol

My idea of what Tenergy 05 is has changed from before. I used to think it was all about speed and spin, but based on how stable the chops are and how much spin it has, it's not that there's no speed, but it's not high either. It's really all about spin.

I just really like a rubber that draws a nice arc, so I was using Rasant Power Grip.
Comparing Power Grip to 05, Power Grip draws a much better arc and generates way more spin. But in every category besides spin, 05 was easier to handle. For me personally, though, I think I'd still go with Power Grip since it lets me really load up the spin...All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Out of all the Tenergy types, this one gets the most spin, and even a light swing gives you speed. It's especially recommended for players who like to attack on the third through fifth ball.

I put this on before to compare it with Rakza 7.
Both are rubbers that generate spin, so I was curious, but I got the impression that Tenergy was easier to use.
I was impressed that just a slight brush produces a powerful, spinny drive. If you want a bit more speed than this, go with 80; if you want speed over spin, then 05 would be the choice.
The sponge is a bit on the hard side, so if you're used to a softer spin rubber, I feel like it'll take a little time to get used to handling this one.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard
