TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

I switched to Tenergy about 3 years after starting table tennis, and it turned out to be a fantastic rubber!
Just like Tomokazu Harimoto and other pros who use the 05, the spin is incredible and the sheet really grips the ball!
But it feels like the speed isn't quite there and it's hard to control, so having a solid form probably helps!
But once you get your stroke down, you get an amazing balance of speed and spin!

I stopped using it once the price went up, but there's no doubt every manufacturer and every player treats it as the benchmark to beat.
Spin, speed, control—it's balanced at a high level in every one of those areas.
These days I'm still on an endless search for equipment to replace this rubber. In the end I think nothing will really surpass this rubber overall anytime soon, but I hope every manufacturer keeps trying.
Tenergy 05 Hard is coming out too, so I think even more players will end up saying it has to be this rubber.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

This is a really great rubber.
The senior members in my club said it was hard to use, but I didn't feel that at all. First of all, the spin just happens automatically.
I'd heard rumors about it, but it was way more amazing than I expected. Maybe that's why, when you hit a topspin drive, it creates spin that seems to skid forward on the opponent's side of the table. My opponents looked like they had a hard time returning it. Also, the curve on a curve drive is insane—the ball just runs away from the opponent. Even if they manage to block it, the ball flies off like crazy when it hits the rubber. This could be a powerful weapon.
Since this rubber is all about spin, the serves bite really sharply too. Apparently even a gyro serve was a struggle just to lift.
That said, in my case, my previous rubber was TSP's high-bounce RIZE, so it took about two weeks to get used to the spring sponge. But!
By the time I got used to it, the sheet's grip on the ball had eased up a bit...
The downsides are durability and price.
I have Rozena on my backhand, and I push through with topspin drives on both sides to score points.
If it's this good a rubber, I guess
I can (reluctantly) accept the price.

First off, compared to conventional high-tension rubbers, it's easy to generate spin.
The feel of holding the ball is really good, and since it has less of that slippery feeling you often get with plastic balls, you can swing through your topspin drives with confidence.

Honestly, the spin and speed are good enough to call this the best-performing rubber currently on sale. Even a plain forehand hit drives into your opponent's court with topspin on it. Topspin drives draw a high arc too, and for some reason you get consistent, stable balls one after another. The grip on the surface is incredible, and even a quick, connecting loop drive hit on reflex can score you a point.
With Tenergy 05, you can hit great-quality balls whether you're close to the table or far from it.
When you're fighting close to the table, you get vicious topspin drives, and even when you're under pressure, you can go for counters. In topspin rallies too, it has enough consistency and power to let you win comfortably.
At the top level, where equipment differences can decide matches, this might well be the optimal equipment choice.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

This is the fifth rubber I've put on, and it's [Tenergy 05].
After using it for about 5 days, I gradually started getting used to it. I have it on my forehand, and once you're used to it, it's really easy to use and lets you play at a high level
Personally, the speed and spin are just not normal
I was able to overcome my weak serves! (In fact, serving became something I'm good at)
My next rubber is already decided - it'll be this one again
It really flies, so I think an all-wood blade is better when using it

Tremendous power whether you're close to the table, mid-distance, or away from the table.
A genuinely all-round rubber.
Lifespan is maybe around three months?
