TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

A bit late, but I got a chance to demo this so here's a review
The blade was a demo unit, and I was told the rubber I tried had already been used for about 2-3 months
I normally use Q5, so this is mainly a comparison against Q5 (forehand)First, in topspin-to-topspin rallies or light rallying, it felt about even with Q5, maybe with Q5 having a slight edge
Q5 is also a really good rubber, so the fact that this was roughly even with it even in a worn-down 2-3-month-old state really shows what Tenergy can do
It was also better than other high-end rubbers I've tried, like V15 Extra, Fastarc G1, and Super Ventus
Where I felt the biggest difference was against backspin
I had someone feed me some fairly heavy backspin and tried both loop drives and speed drives—balls that would be a struggle to lift with Q5
came up easily, and turned into drives with a huge amount of spin
Since I only had about 10 minutes to demo it, I didn't get time to try chops, pushes, or the short game, but the sheet's grip on the ball
was excellent too, and it didn't have that overly lively, flying-off feeling that high-end tension rubbers often have, so I don't think that would be an issue
Next time I replace my rubber, I'm thinking of switching to Tenergy 05All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

The spin just comes on automatically, so you can hit a stable, consistent topspin drive. I normally use Hurricane, so this felt like it had way too much bounce, which actually made smashing easy.

I got to try a friend's racket.
I use tacky rubber with an all-wood blade, so honestly I figured Tenergy on an inner-carbon blade would just fly everywhere and be unusable.
It's a monster.
Even swinging with everything I've got, the ball flies in a high arc. And it goes in.
With my tacky rubber and wood blade, hitting at even 50-80% power would send the ball flying way out.
On top of that, it has this insane carry.
With tacky rubber, the way the ball flies changes shot to shot—sometimes hitting it full power just clips it and it loses carry, or a desperate last-second reach suddenly has crazy carry—but with this, even when you hit it with a sharp "clack," it carries through like crazy. And it still goes in. It's ridiculous. Of course you're going to win using something like this. If you can afford it, there's no reason not to use it.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I use this on my forehand. It pairs really well with my blade, and forehand drives, counters, stops, and flicks are all easy to pull off.
Even when I swing all out it still lands in, and the ball has such a crazy arc that the drives come out looking almost unfair.
I also don't lose out on power in topspin rallies, so I think it can be used in pretty much any way depending on your style.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

A senior teammate let me try it out, and it flies so much that it makes me wonder what my old rubber even was. It's also really easy to put a lot of spin on the ball.

This is a rubber that generates a crazy amount of spin.
The price is pretty high, but it's fast and lets you put a huge amount of spin on the ball.
This rubber has so much spin that at first it's easy to send the ball out. So I'd recommend it starting from intermediate level. If you're an intermediate player who's worried about whether you can handle it well, it might be better to try Butterfly's Rozena first. Once your wallet can handle it, this is a rubber I want everyone to try at least once. It's on the softer side, so pairing it with a stiff carbon blade is also a good idea.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I'd only ever used Fastarc rubbers before, so the first time I tried this one it was a shock. It's honestly insane. I love the feeling when you hit the ball. That said, some people might not like this feel, so it might not be 100% everyone's favorite, but for spin and speed, it's number one.
