TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

Borrowed this from a friend to try. I wouldn't really recommend it for beginners.
Even a flat hit turns into a topspin drive with this, so it's better suited for advanced players.
In the hands of an advanced player, the ball comes out absolutely nasty.
As expected, spin-heavy shots like loop drives are easy to pull off.

Overall this is a fantastic rubber, and really the only downsides are the price and the weight. I experimented with different sponge thicknesses and found something like 1.9 to be the sweet spot for intermediate/advanced players. I used it on both sides, which does make the head of the blade heavier, but it's manageable. It takes a lot of time to master, but once you've experienced the 05, it's hard to find a substitute for it.

Compared to Dignics, it's easier to handle in terms of hardness, and since it doesn't bounce quite as much as Dignics, it actually gives more of an arcing trajectory. To me, Dignics 05 feels more like a straight line.
The sponge is roughly medium hardness, and with Tenergy's signature topsheet feel, the overall feel is on the softer side.
Tenergy's selling point is that the spin kicks in automatically, but the flip side of that is the ball quality stays pretty consistent, which people say makes it easier to return — that's both a strength and a weakness. Using it on both sides only really makes sense for advanced players who can freely control their spin amount.
For most people, including myself, I'd recommend putting it on whichever side (forehand or backhand) is your weaker one to get stability and power from its automatic performance, and using a German rubber or a tacky rubber that produces tricky shots on the other side.
I've tried a bunch of combos, but I'm settling into Target Pro GTH47 on the forehand and Tenergy 05 on the backhand. Until I feel like using a rubber that flies in a straighter line, this is my backhand rubber, even though the lifespan is a bit of an issue.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

Tomo Chopper (Experience: ６〜１０ years) A well-balanced, great blade.

I've been playing with the Matsushita Kouji Offensive for 2-3 years now, and while some of this comes down to getting used to it, hopefully this helps.
Topspin drive: instead of drawing a big arc, the ball flies pretty straight. It still gets spin and power, so among chopper blades I'd rank its power around third. Countering is also quite easy.
Chop: you can hit stable chops on both forehand and backhand. It flies a bit at first, but the chops go deep and fast in a straight line. The spin is pretty strong too.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Tenergy used to have this image of being for advanced players, but with Dignics and other makers releasing harder and harder rubbers over 50 degrees, rubbers in general have kept getting stiffer, so now Tenergy feels like it's landed in a spot that's actually manageable for intermediate players too.
The Spring Sponge has a nice moderate hardness with great grip on the ball, so even at thick thickness it feels as springy as other rubbers' max thickness. So for an intermediate player, medium or thick should be plenty.
I'm a chopper myself, and since I prioritize stable chops over attacking power, I switched from thick to medium. That said, if you use the blade's flex when attacking you can still get decent power, and the chops stay nicely stable and cut well, so the balance between offense and defense is pretty good.
Dignics has come out with even higher performance, but Tenergy holds its own unshakeable position, clearly separate from it, and I think it'll keep being loved by all kinds of players. The Tenergy name isn't just for show.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little hard

Borrowed a friend's racket to try it out.
It flies quite a bit but the spin is amazing.
For topspin drives, if you let the ball sink into the sponge you get a low, sharp shot.
