TENERGY 05 has a unique feeling using a combination of Spring Sponge technology, High Tension rubber and a tacky surface. It is excellent for imparting a great deal of spin on the ball. 05 in the name was adopted from Pimples Code No. 5. Tenergy 05 enables a full range of topspin play at or away from the table. It keeps its explosive power throughout the life of the rubber without the use of speed glue or boosting. Tenergy 05 is very popular among world-class table tennis players. European Champion Timo Boll uses Tenergy 05 on forehand and backhand.

I've got this on the forehand of my Innerforce Layer ALC.S, and even a light swing gets the ball on the table, while a hard hit sends it in low.
Just an all-around amazing rubber
If you're on the fence about trying it, just go for it

It gets a ton of spin and plenty of speed too — a really great rubber. This was my first time trying the Tenergy series, and I ended up really liking it.

Using this on my backhand. I'd been using Hurricane Neo 3, but it was pretty tough on the arm, so I gave this a try after a while. Even on a plain rally, the spin kicks in. As expected from Tenergy. Topspin drives come out way easier than with Hurricane. The Hurricane can generate more max spin, but the number of times you can actually swing full power in a match is pretty limited anyway, so Tenergy feels like the easier, better choice overall — though the quality might drop if you don't practice properly…
Chiquita goes in just by touching the ball, and pushes and stops are easy too. Since it's become easier to hit, it's also easier to control, and I don't think there's a better-balanced rubber than this.All Speed Spin Control Hardness Little soft

I'm in my second year of junior high. Up until recently I was using DNA Platinum XH, but I felt it was a bit too hard for me, so I switched to the Tenergy 05. It was softer than I expected and hard to control at first, but once I got used to it, it turned out to be a really great rubber. Especially when I step back and counter-loop, it draws a bigger arc than ever, which made it a lot easier to play.

As expected
Being one of the top rubbers in the Tenergy lineup, the 05 really does put an incredible amount of spin on the ball
That said, once it turns into topspin rallies, I did feel like it doesn't fly forward quite as much
For players hitting close to the table, this is the best rubber, but
once it becomes topspin rallies, I think something like Tenergy 80 or Dignics 05 would fly further and hit harder! I'd say the feel is on the softer side!

The performance is so high there's really nothing to say. If I had to point something out, it'd be that it's a bit harder to control compared to other tension rubbers, and the price.

Ponta Control is somewhat difficult

Using it on the forehand. Hitting against chops is really easy with this. Compared to other rubbers, the ball feels like it gets lifted more. The topspin drive really puts a lot of spin on the ball. That said, I found the control a bit tricky. My impression is it's more for advanced players.
